Not everybody is impressed with their collective "brilliance" since the Anderson letter has been making the rounds.

Dear James,
Your lengthy and roaming letter is indicative of who you are and where you are from. I jump-seated on US Air as a new commercial pilot in 1996. It was a painful experience and I vowed your company would be at the bottom of my list of desirable airlines to work for. I was treated like a passenger on a Trail-ways bus ride run-a-muck. And I always wondered why I felt the way I did? I think you answered my long enduring question in your letter.
As a professional airline pilot I always appreciated the diversity that made companies strong, safe and respected within the systems where they flew. By that I mean pilots who respect their bothers and sisters; pilots who appreciate the varied backgrounds and experiences which contribute to a safe and well-conducted flight. No matter what; every time. Your view of America West is "the problem," and has been a problem for as long as you have been one company. I am sad for you; sad you could not see what could have made US Air great.
I am embarrassed for you. Your letter is the case against you, and the OLD US Airways. And your letter makes you the poster-child for your pilot group. It reminds me of my dad whipping me as a child....... (and I was deserving)...... As his belt slid through the loops in his pants, he calmly said.... "son you just can't stand prosperity." 15 years later I learned what prosperity was. Sadly, I predict 15 years from now you will learn the same lesson too.
My hope for you is that you
don't get what you deserve. If I were the judge your pompous name would have been erased. You would have fallen into the ranks of the "bankruptcy companies;" since you were bankrupt. You would have
no "Captain" beside your name, nor a facade to plead your weak case.
I am sorry you don't see what this profession wants for you.
WE want the best for ALL of us who are professional airline pilots; a safe work environment, stature, pay , seniority..... and happiness.
I am sorry if this letter offends you. If I were not so offended by your lack-luster soliloquy, I would not have written you.
Sincerely,
Edward "Nick' Pugh
