And who are you? The forum police? You get laughed at often...HAHAHA!

Night watch,

You are a putz. You haven't been at AA long enough to have a legitimate opinion!

Hey earl, is that a company eAAgle or a teAAm twu chicken??? I have a hard time telling. Its too bad the teAAm twu chicken won't fight the company like they fight their own members.

If the NMB appeal fails , do you think teAAm twu will be able to help the company inflate the eligibility list enough to stop another vote???

Why is the twu Bubba Club scared of a vote? The twu will win, right earl?

Green dude,

Haven't been here long enough to have a legitimate opinion..? Even the most junior members of the TWU have the right to have their opinions heard, not just a select few. That is what being "UNION" is all about..!

Now before you get yourself all up in a Tissy, Hair standing on the back of your neck, or Farting in the Bathtub and "Biting at the Bubbles", you need to understand this.....! The TWU intends to focus on reuniting this membership in preperation for the Section Six openers in 2006. We all must get back on board if we are to have any chance at recovery of the lost income and benefits..! Now Vortilon you can get on board with the rest of us, or stand aside.....It's up to you <_<

Good Luck!

Why is the membership divided in the first place?

What makes you believe that the company will open early if it is not in their favor?

What is the TWU going to do convince the company to open early, listen to the Overland Resource Group?

Buck,

Are you ready to rejoin the majority and seek what was lost. Or are just going to continue the path of division you have helped to create? I am sure the same offer is extended to you as to reunite with the TWU, but the question is will you accept?

.......It's up to you, Buck <_<

Thats just the point hss, the twu continues to lose, this time was the last straw. We are seeking change, and have been for years. The twu refused to submit to real changes. This division did not happen overnite, its taken many years. The membership tried, over and over again, to change the twu. Its meet with hostility, sarcasm, and stone walling.

The result is what you have now. A revolution. You can't blame people for standing up refusing more of the same twu BS. Its time to take the twu bully down.

I've said this many times; If AMFA turns into what the twu is now, then they are out the door!!!

You need to wake up.

hss,

"The TWU intends to focus on reuniting this membership in preperation for the Section Six openers in 2006. We all must get back on board if we are to have any chance at recovery of the lost income and benefits..!"

The membership was NEVER united in the first place. The only group that is united are the ones that have twu positions and are afraid of losing their do nothing jobs. You say "recover lost income & benefits"? Why should we fight? Why didn't sell out little simply tell the company that the mighty twu demands that there be snap back clauses? If you think for one second that AA will give back anything in '06 you are a bigger fool than you present yourself to be on this BB.

Recovering from what did you here Arpey and little say we have to find a permanent way to lower cost because we will never enjoy revenue premiums like in the past again. We have to under cut the MRO's from now on. This is the kind of stuff that AA has been preaching to the mechanics for the past year and the Twscrew has said nothing about it . Now we are going to reunite the members and take back everything they took . I have an idea how about just enforcing the existing contract if you can. With rock solid language like this it’s a peace of cake right?

Re:
Contracting Out Work
241
242
March 9, 1950
243
244
The contracting out of work has become an issue in our negotiations with TWU because
245
the union believes this practice may threaten the job security of its members. To show
246
that such fears are groundless I shall review our policy.
247
248
Our policy has been and is to maintain a stable work force. Few, if any, employees
249
have been laid off because we have contracted work to others. In 1949 American
250
Airlines, Inc. had the best record for continuity of employment in its mechanical
251
department that it has ever had, even though it was necessary to give some non-
252
recurring work to outside contractors.
253
254
In 1949 we scheduled our work in such fashion that there would be an orderly flow of
255
work through the plants. The program was successful enough to provide the highest
256
record of stable employment in the history of the company. One of the contributing
257
factors to an orderly flow of work was our program to farm out such work as was beyond
258
the capacity of our plants. We farmed out no projects that could have been
259
accomplished in our plants. All of our people were busy during the year. How then can
260
it be construed that the company will now find it desirable to contract out work that our
261
employees have the time and facilities to get done?
262
263
The union has sought a severance pay formula. Even though it has not been
264
demonstrated that work contracted out is, has or will jeopardize the security of the
265
employees, the severance pay plan gives an additional measure of security. This is a
266
new provision, unique in the air transport industry.
267
268
Nobody on the payroll will benefit by a program, which would require us to hire
269
temporary employees to take care of peak or non-recurring work, and to discharge them
270
as soon as the peak had gone. This, from our point of view, is a wastefully expensive
271
way of doing business, because it is inefficient. We must, therefore, retain the right to
272
give to others the work that our regular employees have not time to handle.
273
274
There are several things in airline operation, which principally affect the continuity of
275
employment; the volume of the business, the schedules to be operated and the
276
workload available. We will do the best we can to assure that each of these factors
277
contributes to stability and continuity of employment; we cannot and do not contract
278
about their volume, for we do not control that.
279
280
Our policy has enabled us to maintain a stable work force. We recognize its benefits
281
and see no reason to change the policy.
