TWU-IAM Association Mechanic and Related/Stores Negotiating Committee Meets in Dallas, Continues Reconciliation Process
September 4, 2015
The merger of American Airlines and US Airways has created the largest airline in the world and this Negotiating Committee is tasked with preparing for joint negotiations with the New American Airlines. As we prepare for these negotiations the Committee is continuing the process of reconciling the labor agreements so we are prepared to respond once we receive the Company’s initial proposals.
The Committee met in Dallas-Fort Worth at the TWU Air Transport Division office from August 31st through September 4th for Mechanic and Related groups including:
--Maintenance Control Technicians
--Title I-Aircraft Maintenance and Related
--Title II-GSE/Plant Maintenance
--Maintenance Training Specialists
In addition to the above groups, the reconciliation process also continued for the Material Logistics Specialists/Stores groups.
We ask for your patience as your Committee continues this complex task. We are committed to obtaining a joint agreement that recognizes the past sacrifices of TWU-IAM Association members, which has allowed American Airlines to post the largest profits in the carrier’s history.
Your committee is scheduled to meet in Chicago for the week of September 28th through October 2nd.
Print and distribute the bulletin.

That must make you a proud union member to take sides against fellow union members taking a stand to make a point. Your pathetic. Unless it's the IAM everything else is your enemy.700UW said:Ask what happened to the old web page www.the-mechanic.com, UA and AA both sued him.

What are you talking about?1AA said:That must make you a proud union member to take sides against fellow union members taking a stand to make a point. Your pathetic. Unless it's the IAM everything else is your enemy.
Shut up already.....the talk in the break rooms is that AMFA guys are derailing the Negotiations. Go away already. The membership has heard enough of your AMFA melarchy..........1AA said:Just read the latest update. They plan on meeting again end of the month. Please be patient during this complex process. What happened to starting negotiations with the company 30 days after the ratification of the association? Did they not know the complexity of having two loser unions trying to work as one would be complicated? Holidays are approaching. Guess what will happen? NOTHING. After October's meeting things will slow down for the holidays. See ya in January.
Looking for someone or something to blame on the current pace of the negotiations? AMFA guys? Really? Get with the program. The association not AMFA are the ones trying to merge the two unions. Too bad I haven't talked much about amfa lately. Actually you and 700UW keep bringing it up whenever you have nothing better to to say.mike33 said:Shut up already.....the talk in the break rooms is that AMFA guys are derailing the Negotiations. Mike, not sure if that's just a jab at guys who want a change (AMFA) or you honestly believe break room gossip, but I can guarantee you it's not "AMFA guys" slowing down the negotiations. Let me just say that the two sides are trying to protect their own turf. That is fact!mike33 said:Shut up already.....the talk in the break rooms is that AMFA guys are derailing the Negotiations.
