I am so looking forward to the ASS. update today from the intense meetings this week. Let me guess. They met. They talked, still have a lot to do. Scheduled more meeting end of next month. What a great update. They need to stay in meetings until they are done. This once a month is a damn joke.
TWU-IAM Association Mechanic and Related/Stores Negotiating Committee Meets in Dallas, Continues Reconciliation Process
September 4, 2015
The merger of American Airlines and US Airways has created the largest airline in the world and this Negotiating Committee is tasked with preparing for joint negotiations with the New American Airlines. As we prepare for these negotiations the Committee is continuing the process of reconciling the labor agreements so we are prepared to respond once we receive the Company’s initial proposals.
The Committee met in Dallas-Fort Worth at the TWU Air Transport Division office from August 31st through September 4th for Mechanic and Related groups including:
--Maintenance Control Technicians --Title I-Aircraft Maintenance and Related --Title II-GSE/Plant Maintenance --Maintenance Training Specialists
In addition to the above groups, the reconciliation process also continued for the Material Logistics Specialists/Stores groups.
We ask for your patience as your Committee continues this complex task. We are committed to obtaining a joint agreement that recognizes the past sacrifices of TWU-IAM Association members, which has allowed American Airlines to post the largest profits in the carrier’s history.
Your committee is scheduled to meet in Chicago for the week of September 28th through October 2nd.

Why don't you ask the president of Local 591 what is up.
I am sure he will be upfront and tell the truth or maybe not. Remember he wanted to be part of AA's management, I think he put in for it three times. The company would not hire him but the TWU line mechanics did.
I am new on this thread and do work on the line. I will be sharing info. Not pro twu or afma or iam or ASSociation.
You have a great Labor Day weekend.
