Negotiations........why?

Are the members of each respective union faction ( TWU and IAM ) and therefore the Association, technically shareholders in the union collective?

Therefore the Leadership's first responsibility to the membership. Why is communication so difficult for the leadership?

Airline CEO's may be guilty of bringing down airlines of the past, however they are not alone in these actions, it is the Union Leadership that collaborates these CEO's and their executives.

Neither side is innocent.

The company is reading and listening maybe?. You guys only give them ammo of the wrong kind. Maybe if there was more " Quiet time " when they start the ammo would be gone.

Your position plays the company as stupid fools. For the last 30 years or longer the company has played the TWU instead.

Perhaps you are an IAM member of this Association and are blind to the abilities of the co-associate?

Because the executives first responsibility is to the shareholders, but I do agree the employees need to be taken care of also.

The IAM did not bring down EA, that would be Lorenzo, and all the unions struck EA, and they still flew during the strike.

And no we didn't play ball, we never reached an agreement, the judge abrogated our CBA, terminated our pension and forced us to vote on the final offer, I was on the NC.

AA is spending $5.4 billion in cash on new aircraft, they aren't leasing them.

They might do sell/leaseback or sell EETCs backed by the planes, but they are still spending $5.4 billion.

You KNOW NOTHING About what happened at Eastern, What the IAM did or didn't do.

So don't disrespect the men and woman of Eastern who were there. They stood up to the airline after many yrs of give backs. Lorenzo was a tool Brought in to get Hirsch/Rockefeller/Chase out of the airline biz. From 1989 - 1991 it was SCAB air.

At Eastern that was the Last and only time the IAM stood up. They SCABBED at NWA, Folded at USAir, Screwed the Continental workers twice, Failed at United.  Most recent Failed the TWA workers as well.

BK twice at US, if the IAM had any spine they would of took the members to the street with a strike, since US then and Now would not effect US economy. So don't say the did not fold.

The IAM was strong in the past but has now joined the ranks just like all the unions and "YES" I am including AMFA in that as well. IGM runs through the ranks it is about what we have now.
Instead of the whole work force and future of our industry..

My Uncle was a Lead Inspector for EA at JFK and LGA for 29 years, I walked the picket lines with him.

Dont tell me I dont know what I am talking about.

Lorenzo killed EA not the IAM, he is the only man in the US to be banned from having to do anything with an airline ever again.

And if you knew the law, you cant strike when your CBA is abrogated, it was tested in court by NW and the AFA and the court ruled you cant strike.

Maybe instead of trying to attack people you would educate yourself, but hey if want to look stupid have at it!

if you want top industry wages and benefits, then fill out your AMFA card already and stop supporting the twu association. our board is dishonest and will never get you a decent contract. the latest, he is waiting for the company to make an offer, LOL. how stupid is he? and now there is video? why? haven't heard from our board in years, why start now? elections maybe? Go AMFA

So I guess your answer to a supposedly insurmountable goal is just give up and resign yourself to failure and make the best of your miserable position.  Wonderful.

No you work within to make change, it has happened at the IAM especially with District Lodge 141, the members got a bad taste in Chapter 11 and they voted out all the officers.

How did that work out so far?
How many failed AMFA drives has there been?

5 to answer your question and each time the TWU members here at AA didn't agree and failed to get enough cards to bring it to a  Vote.

That is our failure, Not AMFA's.

We can't disprove that someone in your family worked at EAL or NOT but I worked there for 10 yrs, Both here in MIA and at LAX, where I was when we went on strike.

Walking a picket line does not mean you know what went on, Only what you were told.

That does not work either many here at AA have tried and until you kill the head no matter what you do it will still be the same Ole TWU.

Little was the TOP now we have Lombardo he was an underling of Little if he was going to fight for us he should of done it while he had influence with little in office But NO he just went along not interrupting his PAY CHECK.

If the IAM did such a great job then why are the US workers still lowest in industry along with AA twu members?

Why does the IAM threaten to stop payments to the IAMNPF and its long term members if they switch unions?

Because if they are not managing the IAMNPF for them its all about the $$$.

IAM Killed Continental, United TWA, USAir, They were the union of record when all filed BK.

Just as you blame amfa for NWA, which was IAM as well at one time.

And so did I, it was my uncle, my family has always been a union family, even my mother.

He was a lead inspector at JFK and LGA, and he was involved in the IAM.

And the best thing is your own posts shows your ignorance.

He had 29 years to your 10.
