No stone throwing intended...just DEBATE. Of course I have no way of knowing the actual Turb-Pent Speed on the LUV flight in question. I just thought it was a bit unusual...and tossed my thoughts into the soup pot!
I have learned one important thing over my career....pay attention to the outsider views of your company. Because you just might discover something that wasn't all that visible to you on the inside. Just some food for thought.
Happy Holiday wishes to you too!
Thanks for the Holiday wishes!
You're right about paying attention to your company. As I stated before in a different thread, I have always stayed abreast of events inside the company to which I am employed.
I have dodged layoffs and shutdowns during my time in this ever changing business. And I can tell you from first hand that SWA is changing. In some ways good and some ways not so good. The not so good is something those of us should try to keep happening. But as we grow as a company things are bound to change. But I for one am GRATEFUL for the chance to be part of this awesome group.
I can tell you that I don't see many things that are pushing the limit. The things that people have quoted have been of opinions and frankly they don't carry much merit.
All of you can say what you want about us being coolaide drinkers and towing the company line. But when you are told that you are VALUABLE as an employee, it makes you proud to be associated with that company.
Unfortunately I was out for 6 weeks with a work related injury and the Company sent me a get well card that was signed by Gary and Colleen but who knows if it was really them, it was the thought that counted.
Every year on my anniversary date, I get a card from the Company telling me Happy Anniversary. And birthday cards?, Yep, we all get them too.. This Airline cares about their people and the people CARE about their airline. That if that my friends, is drinking coolaide, I say gimme a bigger cup!
I really hope the airline industry turns around and we all can be secure in our futures no matter who we are employed by.
