Looks like our industry adjusted wage is $1.63

I understand that the Association will be filing a grievance to prevent using the former USAir in the September calculation.

The Union Rep I spoke with stated that by dropping USAir the proposed $1.63 would be increased by $1.00.
I'm sure that Parker and company will treat it like any other grievance.  They'll ignore it and the association won't push it.

Why would the INT Reps or whomever agreed with the company on the raise not bring this up before the raise was agreed upon. let the company beat us up then we file grievences. The unions in this country are dead.

David Virela was the one that agreed to the $1.63. I was told that all three local pres have tried to contact him on how the company came up with $1.63 and why he agreed with the $1.63. He will not return any emails with the breakdown of the numbers between DAL,UAL and US. He is a fleet service clerk that does not care about mechanics. The only part of the formula in our contract that was used was the part that the twu gets dues off of. If they weren't trying to hide something they would produce the numbers for all to see.

Who was the M&R ATD rep at the time the CBA was finalized that would know what was said or the intent of the language once the merger was announced? Virella? No. Doyle? No. Hmmmm...who was there when the CBA langauge was done? Why not ask them? Hmmm...

Thats why our benefits have gotten hammered more that our pay during concessions. Dues rule and benefits produce no dues brother. If we cant get answers or the the international becomes a stumbling block between us the membership and the corporation maybe its time to look into a long overdue DFR suit.

I guess it would be good to hear it from Gary Peterson before this guy makes every AA AMT's shite list.  Although, I too have heard from people that know this guy - Virela absolutely hates AMTs.  This hatred goes back many years from what I was told.  This whole process stinks, and a DFR would most likely be in order.  Lombardo should have his head examined for placing two unqualified, incompetent, asshats in roles relating to M&R negotiations.

Perhaps with your connections you could find the person who was in that role? I am guessing that Fleet Service runs the ATD anyway...

It has been my experience that Virela hates everyone except himself.  In fact someone who has known him the second grade once told me he has always been that way.

But he loves Parker

Nice shot. Real close too. How many Title II jobs are outsourced at the new IOC?

Title II, why they are the TWUs little darlings.  I can't imagine them being outsourced.

A rather unusual shot there.  Usually Virella would be in front and bent over.  LOL

Thanks for painting that picture.  I think I just threw up a little....
