Just out of curiosity is there any Union you know of out there that would condone and encourage it's Local Leaderships to try and contradict everything the International & paid Legal Professionals does or says in the BK events we have been involved in ? There is nothing more admirable than a leadership making sure that their membership is their #1 priority but in turn there is also codes of conduct that have to be followed in any organization even the Union you guys have been trying to obtain representation from, AMFA. I am pretty sure they also have a code of conduct and ethics or if not and they celebrate you the more that you that you campaign against them what would be the use of having a Union that didn't have any higher level than local. If our International didn't have an opinion on the matter then you and others would most likely be bringing that up.

The national officers at AMFA would echo the sentiment of the locals. They can be recalled, so they want the membership content that they are fighting for them. The TWU international seems to be fighting for their own self interests, since there is no recourse to remove them from office. Actually, the guys who can get removed - the local presidents - seem to be echoing the membership.

So you're saying that if the international takes a position on something, the locals must be in lock step with their opinion or face being thrown out? I have yet to see anything from any of the 6 No presidents that endorse or suggest another union. I have seen a lot of info on the downfall of voting yes, but nealry all have still said that it is out choice. I, as a member of this union welcome the debate that has occurred because it allowed me to see both sides of the vote. If you want a one sided view of a union, then go ahead and throw them all out so you can suppress all of our voices. I for one will commit to the first $100 towards a lawsuit if any officer gets tossed out. I will gladly throw in more when it is filed.

Maybe if the TWU would apply some code of ethics and conduct to their members/workforce instead of protecting slugs, and promoting the advancement of unskilled, unqualified union members, we would stand a chance at matching our competition. Instead, this Union has advocated concessions to keep headcount high and productivity low. Accountabllity in Union Members, Officers, and even Management is non-existant. Fist Fights at the Local Union Hall, Stewards showing management their nut sacks, in response to a request to their job, shoveling money to relatives to run the copy machine and mow the grass. Officers taking 2+ hour lunches on a regular basis, Officers involved in interupting flights with domestic disputes, Officers seen at Casinos on company time, ect. And you want to invoke some comparison to code of ethics and conduct?

That sentence is quite funny. Peterson wearing the AMFA Polo style shirt in the last Vote No video. If these officers are so ballsy why would they try to deny that they are pushing for another Union. I have nothing, just sharing a personal Observation. I am just an AMT like I stated before. You really are quite funny with the donation thing though. I know you guys/girls do not see it from my perspective because you are in the middle of it, but most of the output from some seems borderline Cultish. I am really sorry I can not convey the Humor in what some of you type but it is seriously some Funny Stuff. Some of it has to do with always jumping to the defensive and making accusations and alot of you having the parinoid schizophrenic type reactions that everyone is a double agent.....well anyway hopefully you understand my point but I have my doubts you will. I want to Thank You though! You have made my day Funny!

The TWU needs to be imploded from within by those that value their opinions and freedom of speech.

Line Presidents should not\w come out united as solid against the TWU and advocate the only change that will benefit the membership of the TWU.

"LEAVE THE TWU" is your only chance and hope of survival.

I agree that Peterson, Owens, Ruiz, Rojas, and Schalk should immediately resign and finally come out of the AMFA closet. They have always taken the AMFA position of higher wages for the line at the expense of overhaul so why not legitimize themselves as AMFA people.

Can I? No but I trust that Ballot Point did a good job. They do the elections for many of the Locals that elected the vote no coalition and voted out the people Owens say follow the TWU Int'l line.
