the health care some may think they are going to receive is going to be nothing near what they expect.

a month to see a doctor and lines wrapped around the ER multiple times while everyone has their "free medical card" in hand (including all the illegals)..will be a good day.

while one country may appear to work, ask yourself, are they funding and supporting their citizens health care while at the same time paying for millions of illegals at the same time?

have you ever taken a visit to the DMV in the middle of the afternoon or try going first thing in the morning thinking everyone is at work and the lines wont be so long.. just you wait until you see those lines getting in to see the government controlled Doctor's office...

do I feel sorry for people who have no insurance at all, absolutely, and yes something must change, but when you look at the big picture, it is just another way for the government to put another notch in their belt and just another power grab.

the government is going to end up controlling everything...

I will never forget last summer when the gas prices were so outrageous and I was in line at the gas station to pay the attendant. there was a man standing right in front of me going on and on about gas prices, while at the same time had a twelve pack of beer in his hands, got two packs of cigarettes and bought some lotto scratcher tickets...priorities?

sometimes people do need to prioritize, and sometimes that starts with themselves. (there are things people actually may be able to pay for, that is if they can forfeit a twelve pack once in a while and at least try to stop smoking)

...might be good for their health.....too.

some people just dont think they need insurance because they are too young, some rather spend their last 50 dollars going to the 'club' rather than putting in their savings account...

some think Obama is going to fix everything...(after he said right after taking office.. that a lot of things may not be able to be addressed in the timeline of his term..remember?) but..then,

if some are still determined on this ....free medical for all, and while he takes these tax's from working Americans and proceeds to hand it over to 30 million illegal immigrants (more power to ya)...

I am not going to gladly embrace that tax...

but I guess it looks like we wont have a choice will we..?

Listen, we get it you want an easy solutuion to the health care problem. But single payer, gov controlled rationed program aint it.

Coop program with choices for people that is not gov controlled I am on board with. Single payer? No way. Its a proven failure.

you can actually look up that data yourself. its readily available and its been shown (by those countries that have it in place) this idea of someone giving you free health care does not work..like people think.

it all sounds well and good but in reality will be very sub par services available that is of course you can get in...

being that Illegal immigrants are some of the largest contributors to our increased health costs..how exactly would that be handled? Our government is already paying for it now..so if you make the supply of these services more readily available, guess what..the demand will increase as well which will cost even more..

....the ER (people treat that as a Doctors office in the first place, without having to actually make an appointment at the Doctor) and those visits burden the system today, how would that change exactly? You would retrain everyone who is now accustomed to going to ER to start going to a regular Doctor, the government controlled Doctor that is..and the waits would be out the wazoo...you can just count on that big time..

some have no real idea what they are attempting to force on the rest of us. oh yeah... if you want to keep your own health insurance...sure no problem, just remember when your rates currently paid today are tripled (when a good half of these private insurers go out of business) and then you, too, are also forced to wait in line with the rest of everyone else.. scratching your heads thinking ..

Please explain to me how is it worse to have insurance and have to wait then to have no insurance at all and not be able to see a dr and be gravely ill or die?

It has not been scrapped by the countries that have it because it is Government run. Typical Government power grab. Once they have the power, and the purse strings to everyones' wallets, They NEVER want to let go.

If the gov cant recognize, enforce, take care of, say one thing and do another for the laws that are on the books now, how can we trust them with our healthcare?

well somehow they are going to have to figure out how to get these people who are paying nothing to contribute..something!

maybe they can create a *new* national lottery and the proceeds go directly to this new health care insurance for all. (people obviously do not have a problem spending their money on booze, smokes or in this case the lotto)

I can always tell when the jackpot is huge when driving by the liquor store and see the lines around the building buying their lotto tickets...or add some taxes on that liquor that some just cannot be without and contribute to health care insurance. they should absolutely put a tax on cigarettes and (throw that in the health care pot while they are at it) since that is probably one of the reasons why people end up with respiratory illnesses after the fact..

Distort the facts? Hardly, those facts are what you provided. Again what you are failing to realize is that under a single payer, gov controlled system, we would be trading people dieing from lack of healthcare to people dieing waiting for healthcare. Wheres the logic benefit in that?

You openly admit that the gov has failed from governing our boarders and allowing illegal aliens to take advantage of the system, but yet feel comfortable in letting them run your healthcare. Even when they admitted that rationing would be mandatory? No way, not for me.

it will be free to those who do not contribute one cent who are capable of working but choose to come here illegally and claim benefits. it is a huge financial drain on our system and someone has to cover it, it will end up being the middle class or whats left of it..after we are taxed into oblivion!

to recongize an idea or proposal that more than likely and has been shown does not work.. does not necessary mean...people do not care about "kids and the elderly".

(there are still charities present today that help people) I hope the money we donate goes to the right people for goodness sakes, like its suppose to be!
