JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

we were briefed last night in CLT about negs, Fairbanks and Baskett were there but th briefing was held by Regan who says he is at every negotiation and at the table .I see no reason not to believe him.
Which is it? Several, every, or none?
Granted cb may have been allowed in with some sorta next man up system but its consistent with the statement that executive bargaining is generally void of any negotiators. At least the twu peeps have been briefed that only alex is in the room with sito. And sito himself said it several months ago so not sure what tommy means unless he is including the next hall over. Cb said several, twu says none, reagon says every. They cant even get their story right.

Alex Garcia, Mike Mays and Gary Peterson for TWU. And I thought I had heard Sito Pantoja, Tommy Reagan and Mike Klemm for IAM?

And I heard that ALL the Association Negotiators are included in the process. They aren’t being brushed aside and ignored if that’s what you’re thinking Tim.

But I am speaking for only what I’ve heard within the TWU.

You and i know that reagon was being dishonest. Cltrat, if that were true then why has the TWU CORRECTLY informed their ord members that the negotiating committee isnt in the executive sessions. I know tommy and i like him but he lied about our pension cut and is lying about what he told you. Of course CB will say that it was never said in the breakroom.

We gotta fix that part time back to back. It wont be fixed with fairbanks in office. Baskett isnt bad but nothing will be fixed down there with fairbanks in charge.

I’ve never spoken to Tom Reagan. I have spoken to CB quite a few times. Cltrat hasn’t said what Reagan said so how can you or I know if he was lying or not? And no the Negotiating Committee is not in the room but CB was not lying to you on that issue.

I like Mark and Pat personally but to be quite honest here on it I have not heard good things from multiple people about Mr Fairbanks. I’d prefer not to elaborate because I could have a very different opinion of the man if I knew him myself personally. But again I haven’t heard great things and that’s from both TWU and IAM people.

Maybe i misread cltrat post. I though he implied that reagon conducted the briefing and said that baskett was in every negotiation. Id be surprised if basket has been in any legit executive sessions with management but he claims several. Thats not correct unless he is crediting the place one building over and the room down the hall. I mean i cant refute it but then that would mean the twu was lying in their briefing when they said the negotiating committee isnt in the negotiation sessions.

BTW I want to point out and be VERY VERY clear here. Just because a few posters here on Forums make it sound otherwise. I don’t personally know ONE SINGLE TWU member who does not want lower costs for our Medical.

The issue is that it’s just harder to hold out and fight for something that we don’t currently have or enjoy. It’s like it’s your wife, not mine and I’m joining you at the Restaurant trying to wine, dine and dance with her so she doesn’t divorce you.

But again I DO NOT think it’s unreasonable to pay a cost for Medical somewhere between the percentage we pay and what you pay. That’s a compromise for all and that’s what Negotiations “should” be about.

I’ll reiterate this Tim. The Negotiating committee is not in the room for the Executive sessions and no CB did not lie to you when he said he has been.

Understand?

Did anyone say to you that the TWU or our Negotiators are not interested in paying less for better Medical coverage? (The thought alone being quite nuts)

And any word on whether or not IAM will be joining picketing or even commencing picketing of their own perhaps in CLT?
there was no mention of anyone in the TWU not being interested in paying less for medical.
Picketing around here is a bit tough I belive in the past the city only grants a permit for like 25 people I think

what I said to be clear was that Baskett and Fairbanks were AT the briefing, Regan conducted it .Regan stated he was at every meeting

CB,
Why do i have to call you when your actions of stalling are convinging? Oh yea, you guys are certainly stalling. I dont buy your fake narrative that picketing could be detrimental. Im going to force you guys to finally start supporting our association picketing. Believe me, you will be picketing very soon.

As far as your other fake narrative that the twu isnt really interested in our health care, you are really driving a wedge and being detrimental to progress. I work next to 1300 twu peeps and so i know you are full of s. You can tell clt that the twu doesnt want our health care but come up here and say it.

Next time you are in ord i will take you into the laa breakrooms and you can ask them why they dont want our health care. I can guarantee you that everyone i talked to here in ord really would love our health care. Instead you put the hit on the twu backs like they all have leprosy with your fake narrative that the enemy is the twu. Smh. Your strongest supporters are on my page but they all disagree with the iam not supporting our association picketing. Sad.
You have to call me because you don’t have a clue what is being said. And you are intentionally giving wrong information to our members!! Why?? Call get it right!! And your example of the insurance proves my point. I’ll be glad to go to Ord break rooms as long as Murphy is on with that. I was just in Dfw break room other day and had dozens of twu agents listening to me brief. I never said the agents dont want it, again wrong info. Of course they do. I even made copies of comparison for them to pass to their members. I stated my frustrations about the insurance was the twu guys in the negotiations didn’t seem that concerned about our insurance, and we need to all. E fighting for it. But I’m glad to say, that seems to be changing the last few sessions. Seems like the twu,s agents biggest issue with our insurance is lack of knowledge on what it is. That’s why I put some comparison sheets out.
And Tim. I know your not going to call me and get the correct info! Why? Because like I said in the email, you don’t want to. You want to deliberately deceive the membership and spin to where it stirs a few people up. Like I said the true story wouldn’t have got anyone excited about what was said. And don’t tak to me about building solidarity! You don’t have a clue. Solidarity starts with supporting your union brothers at the negotiating table. Have you ever done that? No. Hell if it was up to you, our members wouldn’t even be under our standalone agreement that we have now. You wanted to axe those talks and go straight to joint talks. I’m sure hundreds of people out there that still have jobs today are glad that the negotiating team didn’t listen to your ideas back then. Tell those people whose jobs were saved by that contract about your solidarity.
By the way. Can you email me our scope language that we have agreed to already. I would like to look it over. I’ll be waiting for it. Thx.

bit of a quandary here , let's see believe a high ranking union official (admittedly not known for honesty at times)
or someone running for a political union office.( people like that aren't known for their honesty either) The deciding factor for me is Baskett I've the guy for over a decade he's never bullchitted me to my face when I asked questions of this nature.
Of course everyone has to decide for themselves

Tim
Ok with these last few post. Maybe you dont deliberately spin. Maybe you just have a problem understanding. I apologize.
Read what Rat said. He said Regan says he is in every meeting. Not Baskett or Fairbanks. I stated that I have been in several and I have. Nothing hard to understand about that for a average person with a brain. The three for the IAM that are in EVERY ( for Tim ) meeting, are Sito, Klima, and Regan. Now occasionally Sito can’t make a day or two here and there. Same with some of the twu 3. But then we will have a person that sits in for them. Or we may not. There, hope that’s not hard for most to understand.

As a twu member I'd love to have the IAM medical. And as a matter of fact if the association came out and said publicly they 100% wanted it and wouldn't take less but it will delay a jcba I wouldn't have a problem with it. But my problem is that on the twu side we've never been told exactly what they went in asking for. We were given surveys a few years back asking us to rank by importance what ment most to us. As far as I'm aware of the results of those surveys weren't released. All I've heard was pick the best of both contracts, then industry leading contract. But never anything specific. Back in or around 2006,7,8 I forget exactly when the twu started the failed contract negotiations that ultimately lead to BK I attended a meeting at the 513 hall and Tony Novellio(probably misspelled that) listed everything we were asking for, line by line. Now I realize this situation is more complicated in joining two unions into one but no specific details about exactly what is being asked for is my issue. Maybe others on the twu side wouldn't be so patient as I would be but if we had a clearer idea of what is being asked for then members could possibly be more patient with the process, but knowing the people I've worked with they probably still wouldn't be.

CB if you can get me a folder full of those comparison sheets I’d be more than willing to get them out to our TWU (Fleet Service Clerk) Members here in Miami. Whether or not it pans out we can at least try to propel some momentum on the issue.

And stop calling us Agents. It’s not official yet until the ink drys.
