Re: Update on Contract Negotiations


Dear Brothers & Sisters:

On August 3, 2004, we reached a tentative agreement with American Eagle Airlines on the Maintenance and Related and the Fleet Service (Ramp) contracts.

We will be meeting with the company this week and next week to finalize language and to complete the final package.

Each local will be responsible for scheduling membership meetings in order to explain the details of the agreement to their members. The Locals will notify the membership of the date and times of the meeting.

Why don't the members already know what is in the tentative agreement??? Are they not included in the negotiations? If not why, after all it is their agreement and should be the ones sitting in and helping negotiate the agreement? Ya think

Will the twu be selling it to the membership saying AA needs the money to grow or that times are hard in regional service?

Looks like they need to start another card drive. this time including the two non-union bases under AE!!! Because of the two non-union bases, would the twu consider them outsourced?

It boggles the mind on why the twu has never been able to unionize them. LMAO Now thats funny right there. BWAAAHAAHA

If American Eagle votes their "agreement" down, is Jim Little going to make them accept it anyway? I've got a great idea! Why not let AAA handle the voting process? We all know how honest they are when it comes to elections,don't we?

That's old. The pay scale in that link is no longer valid. The new TA is for a three year contract from DOS with a 4% raise at DOS and 2.5% raises at DOS+1 and DOS+2 with a license premium raise from $1/license to $1.50/license.

On the lighter side there is no back pay even though the contract was ammendable in April 2003. However,they were kind enough to throw in a signing bonus (bribe) of up to $1000 if you have 15 years of service.

CIO I am surprised that you are crowing about this because it is an absolute and utter embarassment.

Current top out is $21.30 after 12 or 14 years, I forget now which it is. Current license premiums are $1/license.
