JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Tim I have news for you, with the participation and assistance that we have received from the iam, and our new found leadership in the twu I don't see a reason to fight or holdout for the iam pension and catering. The medical? It's going up but if mine comes down a little I'm ok with that.
The way the association is made up 6 iam and 6 twu with the chair breaking the tie (I assume that's the process) I'm not real concerned with the iam' s needs and concerns. Kind of like their views prior to the letter from the company. Once the company revealed their strategy of giving a little to the majority to hose the minority, again with the iam's participation in our protest. I noticed, amfa, cwa, apa and apfa signs don't recall seeing any iam signs.

The "tentative" date of sometime in August for the release of more shares has not filled my coffer yet, and I'm not holding my breath.

I thought you already said Tim that Catering was NOT gone?!?!
I was given information that fleet was pretty much done with an agreement in principle between the company and Sito/TWU executive. And even now, all parties just want to talk about July. Not sure if the NC is aware of an agreement in principle. And I'm not sure if the company is now reverting back to July since Fleet decided to wait months for MX to catch up. That said, there is no TA, but I'm almost certain that catering will still be included even though the company put out a single paragraph how catering companies do a better job and it was proud to whack our catering. A lot of conflict between all parties.

I'm not sure what the surprise is gonna be, but I thought to date the picketing was very impressive. I don't know that anything will convince AA to negotiate in good faith short of a job action, but to me it reminds me of the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I hope this "Historic" event will change the tide of negotiations, or at least show the support the picketing was doing.
The surprise isn't really any big deal. I was expecting more by the way they were building it up. Although there is some space that the surprise will be limited. Nuff said.

But they were wondering why the Executive Commitee and Company Reps keep giggling and snickering every time they see them.

Tim just let out the big secret.

I just looked over this groups webpage (Cheiron) for curiosity. If the IAMNPF is offered to my group I'll look up the PDF and compare it to information provided by the Pension fund information people.

For now it doesn't concern me very much to be quite honest.

Probably every pension plan is in trouble somewhat. How many are actually fully funded?

Um, weez, that is from the iam pension fund people. I got my copy from the iam pension plan administrator. Text me your email and ill give you the plan administratos email to me with the report attached.
Unfortunately, our own lus negotiators most likely just bobble when the union bosses say its on solid ground. They dont research this important plan even though they should listen to those who have. Its treason against the members, even if the members are ignorant, to increase contributions in it. The last time there was a pension cut, the agcs just said that we should raise future contributions to get back to previous levels. Sad cuz another cut is coming.
