I place actually no value what so ever on the iam pension plan. As far as I'm concerned it's a chip to be bargained away.

And the people who do or might, FK em big time to you I guess.

You're everything I loved about living in DFW. Your kind saturated the place.

you'd be doing them a big favor by getting them out of it. stop the crap. there wouldn't be a grand lodge pension if the iampf was so great.

My point exactly. We are not on a united front. It's all about what is best for me. They will exploit this division and way of thinking.

its all simply based on the level of participation by the IAM. again i saw TWU signs, APA signs, APFA signs and CWA signs dont recall seeing any IAM signs at any of the pickets. if the issues meant that much to them AFTER THEY SAW the companies proposal they would have made an effort. if the TWU can bring the bus and rent a sign truck you would think they had plenty of time to hop in the IAM jet and send a delegation for support. they didnt. even after sitting out dfw when they saw how successful it was they could of jumped on the bus in MIA. indicates to me they place no value on negotiations and or "bargaining chips" in the negotiations. to make gain you have to take some risk they chose not to.

when you say division within the ranks, what member of the association elected to "sit out the protests?" showing a level of unity never before seen at the association?

an excellent opportunity for a sign of unity within the association, again the leadership of the IAM took a hands off "dont hinder dont help" approach and chose to sit it out. so when it comes to our participation in what "you feel is important" sorry chief you have clearly indicated where the priorities lay. the minority has a lot to prove to the majority.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that iam members showed up and picketed in MIA even though Sito has stood down like a company Biatch arse whore.

individual support is appreciated but as you well know without the support of the leadership of the IAM there is no recognition from the company as far as "unity" is concerned. if Sito was out there with a bullhorn rallying the troops with Samulsen this would have been a whole lot easier. sito chooses not to support our fight, not sure why but its a clear indication of past, current and future support we can expect for the association. again why should i support what the IAM feels is "important" benefits for "them" when they dont seem very concerned in "our" basic benefits.
if sito chose to he could join and make the company take notice of all of us, instead he elects to sit it out.

I agree but it appears that the TWU solidarity has risen so far above Sito's monkey wrench that Sito failed in squashing your resolve. Sad that Sito still allows his TWU hate from being a TWA employee get in his way, but good in that the TWU doesn't really need his damn support anyways since it has raised an incredible amount of solidarity that makes Sito look like a jackarse.

When we accepted the pay increases we gave up 90% of our bargaining chips.
I hold the leadership responsible for not thinking it through.. we lost the chest game with one move.. You cant fix stupid....
