JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

So we meet again next week, concentrate on the mechanics side of the JCBA, and then take a month off to regroup.
As a matter of fact, I don't even think we have any more sessions set up, do we? I would think the window is shrinking very quickly if we are hopping to keep it from 2018 and beyond.

Fleet will not meet again with the Company until MX catches up. MX is scheduled the week of 8/28 and once in September I believe. If they catch up to us we will all be meeting in October and negotiating as 30,000 employees for a JCBA.

Once we meet together again, it is possible to have a JCBA soon thereafter. Of course, that all depends on how serious the Company is to getting a JCBA. MX waited for us in 2014 and we will wait for them now. We are stronger as 30,000 employees and our goal is to reach an industry leading JCBA.

Ive been told that a request was made of the company for 2 meeting dates in September and tentatively there are 2 weeks in October firmed up.

Thx Weez but this update is exactly the kind of thing that's drives us nuts on our side of things. It serves to reopen the divide between mechanics and fleet.

You can see whatever it is you want out of the update IMO. If people chose to see the negative of it, that's what they'll live with.

What I see is Solidarity. I see the Fleet group saying right now that "maybe" our Brothers are having some difficulties and we stand shoulder to shoulder in support of them.

We all went in together and we'll all come out together.

Peaterson needs to let us know what’s going on and why were behind . This is the most bs crap I have seen. It’s time for a AMFA drive for maintenance At least we will be the main group and can have observers and they let you know what’s happening I’m so tired of not knowing what’s going on. We are the due paying members we deserve to know what is going on .

Is this really the entire negotiations update? Is this really all the info you guys get after a sessions of negotiations? No wonder the troops are in an up roar. And, WeAAsles, you are OK with this? You have got to be kidding me? And the asso. wants 30,000 people to get behind them, and support them, and help them? For what? They have no idea what they are fighting for, supporting for, and getting behind the union for. Godd freakin Lord get these guys the info IF YOU want them to support the union's mission. What another just Fuked up update and they still ask for support from the 30K employees. I agree with the others that are looking for another card drive. This time around I am am sure AMFA would get more involved and help out. Get the ball rolling boys...

That's the way the I'll Ask Management is. You can basically forget about any info until there is a TA. Then the only info you will get is spin. That said, it's hard to imagine how they can screw this up. At any rate, waiting on MX is essential, I don't care how long that takes. Fleet always gets hosed when we get a TA first. I prefer us waiting for MX to catch up since the company is stalling on economic matters anyways. Maybe should have at least dropped off our counter comprehensive proposal though. Overall, though smart strategy for the Association if the company isn't listening. We need a solid contract, not a quickie that sucks donkey balls.

Exactly what I have been saying from the get go. NO info to the membership until, BAM!!! Here's the T/A guys, best we could do, you better vote for it or else, then BAM!! the layoffs start after the contract. Why hide all the info Tim? That is complete bull shite and YOU know it!!! What a complete cluster fuk over here at AA and asso land. My God you expect the membership to support the nego cmte when they are held in the dark until T/A day? Really? NOT gonna happen. Good luck with that one buddy. This will only start yet another card drive at AA in my opinion, but, we will see. You know what? Yea we have been at it for 5 years now here at SWA, but you DO NOT see the membership in such an uproar over here as we are very well informed on what is going on. We know the hang-ups and exactly why. Your membership does NOT. That my friend is why we wait patiently over here and your members will be in chaos because of the unknown.
I have made this call from day one guys, and Tim Nelson just confirmed it with, "You can basically forget about any information until there is a TA."
