What I want and I think the members deserve is at least 2 weeks on 1 week off. As long as this has dragged on, and with as many members as this affects, this should be the 'big guys' number one priority for at least 2 weeks on and 1 week off.
Not saying I disagree with you. Just trying to explain what the issues are when scheduling. Like I said, that's part of the negative side of the association. Where normally you just need one team to make sure they are available for certain dates. With the association, there are two teams that have to have availability, and many times the dates the company has in combination with two different union leaders, just doesn't match. Believe me, many on the negotiating team would love to go ahead and negotiate every day and get this over with. But that doesn't mean we are going to roll over and accept a pos from the company to get it done.

Thanks for hanging around, facing the firing squad and answering to the best of your ability. It is greatly appreciated...seriously!

I can assure you unless you choose not to.believe, that the company is basically balking on all remaining issues. It is definitely not a leading industry contract with their latest offer. Maybe 3rd best. I know many are hung up on the pension vs 401, but it goes far beyond that.
But you guys promised. WTF! Where is the industry leading offers from Parker? Here it comes guys, the start of the sorry guys but "this is the best we can get" start the violins pls...

So at LUS. Our members have a choice of 100, 90, or 80 percent coverage. At LAA you have 80 percent with no option. Not taking the whole time to get into all the specifics, but just comparing the LAA 80 to the LUS 80 for family coverage it's between 400 and 500 more a month. Not to mention the deductibles and max out of pocket for the year. So if your on the negotiating team for LUS? Are you going to agree with the company making billions for your members to go down to that insurance? And like I said, this is just one issue. The proposal fell short on all remaining articles. I can assure you as much as some in here want a contract. Speaking as a IAM member, as long as I have a say, I am not bringing out a cost negative contract to the LUS side when the company is making billions. Personally I don't call that being nutty. But you are entitled to your opinion.
Where's the industry leading offers???

No **** sherlock. You have 2 sides always making a decision for each side. That is the entire freakin problem with having this BS asso. representing us. My fking God what does it take to get a fking decision made around here???

On a last note, you guys are fked, plain and simple. The asso. will end up being the main contributer and all members will in fact feel the outcome. Man, this is just pathetic to watch...

Not anywhere near as pathetic as your situation over at the Airline you work for. 5, FIVE years it is if I recall correctly right?

I corrected your spelling errors. Let me make this abundantly clear, so you will not make this misstep again. As chity is this fight is, this is a fight that only the LAA and LUS employee are invited to. You should keep track of the activities in your own house, and stop being the unwanted nosey neighbour.

Those who correct spelling mistakes on the internet often can't spell worth a damn, and you're no exception. You should learn how to spell simple words like "nosy" before you begin insulting others for their spelling.

You can also stick it in a place most uncomfortable, Jack a$$. Keep protecting your group, or the likes of ya, for all the good it will do.

It can be proven Tim, call them on their bluff. Go all in and demand to meet three weeks a month until a JCBA or impasse is reached. Let's see who really is the party not interested in meeting more frequently.
If no JCBA is reached, do we maintain this negotiation schedule during section 6 as well??
Section 6 will most likely be back to meeting once a quarter. As they have done in the past.

Again, believe them or not, AA (Isom) said they would meet anytime, anywhere, but it takes two sides. I have heard both the TWU and even more so the IAM say they have other obligations. Right now the number one focus should be the 30,000 employees you represent. Not your family, not grievance training, not steward training, but meeting and getting your members a contract.
Honestly, i dont believe management. They been lying in town halls for 2 years.
Because it's a TWU picket. Apparently the IAM is satisfied with the status quo
There is a misconception regarding our lus contract. It has awful language although not as bad as the united contract. Everything from lunch period to overtime bypass and back to back part time just sucks balls.
We used to have clarity and win grievances on back to back part time but now my agc has reinterpreted it for management unlike agcs of the past. Sad.

And our retirement sucks, and our pdo suck. With the company making millions, we need cost positive from here. But since the company is making billions, we need big league cost positive.

No quickie contract but we wont get any contract if the twu dicks around not supporting our medical (twu needs to remember the best of each) and we wont get anywhere if the iam doesnt support twu picketing.

The twu may in fact be fake picketing if they are only picketing to pressure the iam into any ole flimsy contract.
