Yea, the iamnpf is the most important tpoic. Not sure why anyone thinks its worth more evergy to continually get stuck in personal squabbles with NYer who seems to be much more knowledgable of the situation. In fairness to weas, his brain gets a little mushy from listening to sitos jestures.

Tim you need to stick to cheap beer and never gulp down more expensive libations.

I'm not in the IAM and I don't know Sito.

Sito is a TWA guy who 700 spoke highly of and said he was an old school fighter. Seems Sito has lost touch with the labor movement and hasn't worked the line for many years and his affiliation is with a carrier that hasn't existed for nearly two decades and in its final years of existence trained him well on concessionary bargaining at a time when the airline industry and other carriers were making record profits.

Didn't he oversee the job cutting UA agreement?

Again I'm not in the IAM and nothing personal to Mr Sito but I don't know him. 700 is no longer here but people still seem to be obsessed with him (Or they're nuts) If he knows or likes this guy Sito, ok so what. Did Sito F you somehow anyway? Oh that's right that was Tim. He beat him bad over and over and over. Quite pitiful.

Don't work for UA either and could give a Rats butt to that one too. I'm TWU at American Airlines Sir. Just waiting for a good contract to send you/Tim and anotherdelay packing. Shut it all down for the next 5 years.

Anyone wish they worked at SWA? Not me.

"The president of the Transport Workers Union, the largest labor union at Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) has written a scathing letter that condemns "intolerable and cancerous" working conditions for the carrier's groundworkers and decries mistreatment including 2,700 disciplinary actions and 468 terminations since January 2015."

If these union members are being fired as the letter states then all of them will get their job back.
Or maybe SWA is getting rid of the dead beats, that just show up to collect a paycheck. AA has quite of few of these also.

This doesn't sound like some type of harassment to you?

"In 2017, Samuelsen said, "Southwest is writing up nearly three workers per day and firing one worker every other day."

Its more likely that you union leadership simply is too weak. All those firings would have caused work actions instead of a letter that isnt worth the paper its written on.

Companies do what they want. All the tough talk by union leaders is just complaining.

So says Tim Nelson. The most anti Union, anti Worker person I have ever personally met.

It's no wonder you keep losing elections and positions.

(Watch for the TN resume now, lol)

I these firings are all legitimate. What does that say about this Samuelson guy, he shoots off his mouth without looking at the facts. And he is the one leading our negotiation team for TWU. Bring Jim little back.....just kidding. We are really screwed with this bunch.

Brothers and Sisters,

The Executive Negotiating Committee met with American Airlines the week of July 17th, in Washington D.C. On the afternoon of July 19th, American Airlines presented their initial proposal covering the remaining articles to your Executive Committee. Upon initial review, the company’s proposal is inadequate and falls far short in providing the contract you deserve. After a year and a half of negotiations with the Company, we are extremely disappointed.

Your negotiating committees have begun the process of evaluating this proposal and remain fully committed to delivering the best contract in the industry on American Airlines.

Negotiations are scheduled to resume on the following weeks: July 24th, August 14th and August 28th.

Fraternally,

Fleet Negotiating Committee:
