JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Agree. There may be a "signing bonus" to pay for the change in the medical. If that is the case and you put that payment on top of another 3% or 4% DOS raise, more holidays, sick days for the LAA side and they will run towards it.

Members are frustrated and if they were being advised what is happening in a better and more detailed fashion, they may vote for a better deal. However, the frustration being felt only makes the probability of a yes vote much higher as few want to wait for more negotiations.

The trick will be, to structure the medical and scope in a fashion where enough LUS guys vote for it rather than continue with the current process. If left to the LUS guys, there is absolutely no reason to accept anything that changes their medical or scope. Why would they? We wouldn't.

That being the case, the medical and scope may be bought out. That may raise the number of LUS votes and it will definitely raise the LAA votes.

We'll see.
Don't know if there will be any type of "bonus" giving LUS compensation for higher rates considering customer service didn't receive one

A lot of disgust over the 13 year pay cuts where every small raise we got was eaten up by increased medical. Executive compensation is also something in peoples minds. The 20 million they gave Horton to leave stands out. I don't think many of the senior guys at LAA will just agree to some basic deal put out there by the company.
What small raise are you talking about last Augusts? The way I see it we "fleet" will get 3%over DL making it about 2.9%. AMTs 3%over DL making it like 6% and Then some differential and what the AMTs get for there licences I have no idea

I'm talking about from 2003 to the bankruptcy.

To this day I can't believe what you guys gave up without going into bankruptcy.

It saved both Pensions and Jobs. Now some people on another thread may not have preferred that but from my only 8 years in the Company at the time, tough patootie to them.

At that time I'm sure we would have been swimming in those debt infested PBGC waters.

My old man self appreciates the sacrifice my young man self made for him.

On the other hand you took a ok job and turned it into crap. Weez you know what happens when too many people try to get in the life raft

They were given a check to cover the difference for one or two years as I remember. It only went to the LUS side.
I'll take your word and will vote no if I don't receive the check. And when I receive the check I won't use it for it's intended purpose I will likely take ride into Flushing

Just got a text from the great magnificent wealth of information 700UW. Told me it was the FA's.

I really miss my old buddy on here whacking around those poor misinformed souls.

Not at all, simply a case of survival and I still didn't forget AA's B scale. Could have screwed the entire industry but you never worked a 727 100 did you
