Albert,
I was speaking of the IAMPF only.
It will not pass a vote on the LAA side M&E contract, that is a lock.
Maybe, they can sell it to fleet LAA, no way it passes M&E.
Oh I'm talking healthcare I don't blame you with the pension, I can't see them bringing anything back with that being mandatory

The latest I'm hearing is the IAM is in fact wanting to force our frozen Pension monies into the IAMPF.

Maybe ole Charlie and P Rez can comment?

No they are NOT!!!! Jesus freakin H. How long is this stupid Boogy Man going to hide under some of your freakin beds already?

Yes I do Weez, and it kills you that someone else can be right doesn't it?

Al you're not right, you're speculating. You believe you're going to be right. But you're saying it as an "absolute" Same thing my good buddy NYer has a problem with.

Could you wind up being right? Of course you could. I'm just saying I doubt you will be? (Note inserted question mark)

BTW Al again to beat the dead horse. IAM members at US for years had cheaper plans than most others. That was because you're Negotiations are your own. Separate from what others do and want.

Now you bring up the New AA (Run by the same people)

Management and support staff have no Union and have no say.
Pilots: Looking for a cheaper or better plan obviously wasn't a priority for them.
Flight Attendants: Same thing.
Agents: Actually waiting to see what we get.

WE have a priority for better and lower medical and you have a guy on your side who is an expert at finding those things in Tom Reagan. Tom Reagan BTW is in those Executive Level Talks.

That's why IMO we will all have something better than what AA currently doles out to us? Which BTW percentage wise our costs were raised to 22% of the estimated cost to old AA in Bankruptcy.

We're not interested in keeping any Bankruptcy crap my old pal.

I'm just applying logic and history, logic and history

I don't know people do talk about health and the out of pocket costs. Weez everyone else in the company has AA's plan so will we

Agree. There may be a "signing bonus" to pay for the change in the medical. If that is the case and you put that payment on top of another 3% or 4% DOS raise, more holidays, sick days for the LAA side and they will run towards it.

Members are frustrated and if they were being advised what is happening in a better and more detailed fashion, they may vote for a better deal. However, the frustration being felt only makes the probability of a yes vote much higher as few want to wait for more negotiations.

The trick will be, to structure the medical and scope in a fashion where enough LUS guys vote for it rather than continue with the current process. If left to the LUS guys, there is absolutely no reason to accept anything that changes their medical or scope. Why would they? We wouldn't.

That being the case, the medical and scope may be bought out. That may raise the number of LUS votes and it will definitely raise the LAA votes.

We'll see.

Doubtful. That money also comes with an underfunded pension plan which gives little financial sense to go after.

If the IAM included a 5-year or 10-year credit to the vesting of the pension plan for those LAA Members with 20 or 30 years, it could pass. I'd take it.

It would also be appealing to the new hires because they could continue with their 401K and compound their savings, while also getting full credit in the IAMNPP.

Al there is no way of saying? It completely depends on what's in the rest of the contract?

But for a measly 3% and a few Hollidays as you described I DOUBT it?

TWU people are disgusted by what they pay in medical costs. You and I don't honestly understand that because we're single and aren't getting murdered on it. Guys are still even after the raises picking up all sorts of CS's and OT to pay their bills.

I think you should get out of that box of yours and head over to the TWU side at LGA and start talking to those guys IMO.
A lot of disgust over the 13 year pay cuts where every small raise we got was eaten up by increased medical. Executive compensation is also something in peoples minds. The 20 million they gave Horton to leave stands out. I don't think many of the senior guys at LAA will just agree to some basic deal put out there by the company.

Sideshow Bob finally blows his top as he realizes it's himself that suffers from perpetual frustration and anxiety.

There there Sideshow.

I agree. There has to be some things that will entice guys to break through all the past crap with this industry and say hey this is pretty good here.
