What if you hit your anniversary date and step up on the pay scale during the interim period?  Will that be factored into the first lump sum check or the "catch-up" check they (supposedly will) issue next year?  Anybody know?

Congrats everybody, have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this.  Enjoy it while you can and put it to good use.

I look forward to the official numbers, I'm still confused. But yes Chock, a "pleasant" surprise!

If I'm correct it's actually $6.08 per hour. The company improved on the upcoming UAL rate by 1%.
IAM Members have a pay rate of $24.39, TWU is $24.09

NYer, so if I work overtime tomorrow at my double time rate, I'm going to be making $60.34 and the difference will be squared up in November? I hear ya bro, I was told the new raise was effective on Monday but this is even better!
That's my understanding.

So if it's true we will make $30.17 an hour when all is said and done, then you are losing the .30 longevity pay $24.09 + $6.08 = 30.17
W/longevity $24.39 + $5.78 = 30.17
Or with longevity. $24.39 + $6.08 = $30.47 is the new rate.
Longevity is now included in the pay rate and not a separate item, in this agreement.

AANOTOK: Tim, where am I wrong here?
I was told today first deposit in 21 days.

That's what I was trying to point out in my "squabble" post about getting a check in November and another in January.

Ok NYer, I apologize brother, I'm still a little confused. Are we getting a $5.78 raise or a $6.08 raise. And is it $30.17 an hour we will be earning on our paycheck. I'm LAA.. Don't know why I can't understand it...sorry

Prez post states $5.78...but he is LUS

Or Filter.

Tim posted a wage rate link he got from Ford. It said that the TOS rate was $30,17. That's 1% above the TOS UAL rate of $29,87.

$30,17 - $24,09 = $6,08

Then for you add back in your .30 Longevity and you get $30,47 per hour. (Add CC premium if you're a CC)

It appears that the LUS side has to make a case what happened to .30 they had when they got their last agreement? Maybe the company now is incorporating Longevity the same way we do it by years of service or it's been lost?

More details for both sides should come out next week.

It's only confusing because Prez and CB are thinking from the LUS perspective side.

BTW the $5,78 is coming from the fact that LUS side had .30 incorporated into all their scales. So their TOS rate is $24,39 (Longevity built in no matter how many years of service)

$30,17 - $24,39 = $5,78

We will all be getting $30.17.

The wage rates for US is currently $24.39....for AA it is $24.09 (with the longevity bringing us to $24.39)

Longevity will no longer be a separate line item for pay rates at AA. Since they need to add the longevity to the pay rates for AA it seems we get a higher raise than US but it's actually just moving the longevity into pay rates therefore our pockets won't really feel the $6.08.

Was just told that it is $30.17 is the rate, not $30.47.

PROMISE......last question, the $6.08 will be used for lump sum, and then basically you lose that .30 pocket feel when we start in November.

Sorry guys for the clutter.

This is an assumption on my part.

I would guess since the payroll system would need to be updated we would, on the AA side, continue to receive the longevity as we do today. Therefore, if that's true then we can expect to get a check with the difference between our pay rate, the longevity and the $30.17 target. It may also be adjusted on the second "true up" check once they've had the time to do the math with everyone.

$30,17 - $24,39 = $5,78
Everyone on top out with 20 years, at AA, gets the $5.78 raise.... Not $6.08.

Longevity is a separate item in our current CBA. The .30 is the MAX amount a member receives when he reaches 20 years.

I haven't heard whether or not anyone agreed to give that up? So a man with 20 years or more should be making as of yesterday $30.47 all in rate?

Did your source tell you that we no longer have Longevity?
