Everyone on top out with 20 years, at AA, gets the $5.78 raise.... Not $6.08.

LAA

$30,17 - $24,09 = $6,08

Longevity is/should be a separate line item.

Again the company stated a 1% increase over the top UAL rate of $29,87. That comes out to $30,17.

Longevity is no longer a line item. It has been rolled into the pay rates, therefore the raise is $5.78.

AA: $30.17 - $24.09 - $.30 = $5.78
US: $30.17 - $24.39 = $5.78

Pick a card, any card...lol

If Longevity was absorbed into the raise then we not only (hopefully temporarily) gave up the promised 3% which was a loss of .60 but also .30 more for those of us who have over 20 years for a total of .90 cents.

Of course at the moment I'm not going to quibble since JCBA talks are still ongoing but we still have areas that need to be improved financially if we are truly to be equal to our peers.

UAL and DAL (SWA too) have a much better Profit Sharing formula than we do. 10% of the first dollar earned and 20% for any Profit improvements over the prior years profit.

UAL has a larger amount put in for their retirement with the IAMPF and a 3% match to their 401k

Not trying to sound like a repeating parrot here but just being a repeating parrot here.

Ok. Thank you for clarifying. Again for now not going to quibble about it since UAL also rolled their Longevity into the BASE rates on their last agreement.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Longevity is a separate item in our current CBA. The .30 is the MAX amount a member receives when he reaches 20 years.

I haven't heard whether or not anyone agreed to give that up? So a man with 20 years or more should be making as of yesterday $30.47 all in rate?

Did your source tell you that we no longer have Longevity?
So see W, this is what I commented on many hours ago, they took .30 away from you and then gave it back in a raise.
Of course only on the AA side, may be why you don't see the LUS folks chiming in.

Ok. Mentally I'm just going to take the Longevity out of my math as if it never existed. All I know (dammit) is I still better be making my freakin .30 until they pop the new wage into the computer.

So actually a TOS guy who didn't reach 17 years got a $6,08 increase and you and I got a $5,78 increase.

This is true, didn't think about that...
And if you recall, Mechanics were robbed of their Longevity years ago. I guess they finally found a way to take ours. lol

When I hired on I got a $3.00 overtime meal allowance once. I never got it and didn't even know about or how to file a grievance.

I bugged a Supervisor about it for 6 months till he finally just gave me my $3.00 out of his own pocket.

True story.

I keep telling you, but you don't listen, that UA IAM profit sharing is only 5%, like ours, unless the company makes like $5 billion or so then the extra profit pays out 10%. It's a graduated plan.

As far as longevity, I thought you are getting a $6.09 base wage hike?

I'm doing a GOFUNDME for my .30...you interested?   :)

They didn't take anything away. The longevity was a figure that was included in the wage calculations with the true up and is also included in the wage calculations with UA +1. If Weasel actually wants to keep his longevity then I don't think Parker will have a problem with that provided he get .30 + $29.87. Remember, at LUS, we are making $24.39, and LAA is making $24.09 base wage. Longevity wasn't absorbed into anything, it was imputed into your base wage so that now your overtime will reflect greater values as well.

Good for thought. BCBS of Texas is raising rates up to 70% that should be something to discuss bec right now that's our health care

Page 3-15 My apologies (for a change) you are correct.

Just checked and yes Longevity has been discontinued which is also in line with UAL who will discontinue their Longevity in November too.

UAL has "Shift Differntial" that also still puts them a little ahead of us though.
