Btw, the iam has said that it doesnt care how long these talks go. Not surprisingly, our negotiators make more money the longer they can drag things out. They make an additional $365 each week on top of $125,000 salary, free health care, double pensions, etc.

They could absolutely care less.

A fly on the wall told me. One other thing, the twu and iam remain separate on the duration. One of them want 4 and one wants 5 years. This association is snapping at its own tail. Parker may have partial blame here but i think he is frustrated at the meltdown of the 2 organizations as well. You would too if you kept hearing..yes..i mean no..yes no.
One thing parker is right about is that they need to try another way. From what i heard, the big problem is actually the iam which doesnt mind stalling this to new negotiations with section 6. The problem is that we are looking at 3-5 more years with that mentality. Jetblue would even pass us. And we will be sure with each passing pay raise at united and delta that the weasel will take out his calculater and say that this is to our advantage. Hopefully we dont settle a ta when delta +3 means $35.
Fly on the wall? Boy does that fly have a big mouth does he know the winning Powerball numbers? Wikileaks? Josh? 701 turncoat?

Tim you have a little anarchist in you don't you. I'll help you I hear the negotiating committee booked hotel rooms deep into the spring of 17 and  may have to cancel because they can't come to an agreement how much to tip the maid

Same old dog and pony show. Throw the damn proposals on the table and let Doug town hall that crap. Throw exactly what AA is offering for all members to see and let Doug explain (with billions in profits) to the whole company why he is still offering a sub par contract. Stop the damn accusations and just throw the crap on the table. When I said get tough, that means get tough. Call Parker out instead of whining to the members. I believe Parker is low balling when it comes to the meat and potato articles, and I agree with the refusal to accept them. But if your gonna let Parker go out in front of the whole company and your members and call you liars, where in the hell are your balls, Association. Show your members and the company what Parker or Glass offered and let him publicly explain it. He has already publicly called you guys liars...enough already!

The longer you guys refuse to challenge Parker and reveal specifics, the more and more it does smell of a disorganized crew. A fear many of us had from the beginning.
They just said what the company is offering. The worst language of the two contracts. If you read the two contracts you'll know what they're offering on each article.

We said as a collective group in those surveys we want BETTER than those two contracts.

I would say if Parker did split our holidays from LAA 5 and LUS 10 to a proposal of 7 or 8 it is indeed a concession. You guys just conceded two or three holidays...Again, why? This is the best the airline has ever done, has commented it has too much money and is showering our shareholders with stock buybacks. Where is your celebration, it ain't in the giving back of Holidays!
Excellent.

Totally agree with your view here. They must call Parker out on this instead of sending us stuff in the mail complaining about the companies stalling during negotiations. Sure it is correct to turn down bad offers and terms, but after being insulted in public you need to step up and show the membership the truth about who is causing the problems. It would be a different story if Parker hadn't made them look like bone headed slugs. It would be nice to see some aggression shown towards the company.
Watch the Peterson video. What do you want the Association to tell you "precisely"

What are they leaving out in your opinion?

Tim I wouldn't go and blame one person he did do a good job with our contract. I'm sure he is frustrated too and his hands are probably tied
Excellent.

Last week they were arguing over the phone about how a steak should be cooked. Medium, medium rare or rare. One guy said well done and he has been removed from the negotiations.

We need to know what the hell is going on here. This week they fought over a Ramen noodle box.

I wouldnt be surprised if the last week of negotiations in August that they spend the time drafting for their fantasy league. Thats more productive than reducing negotiations down to drafting proposals, passing proposals, and exchanging proposals when there is no authority that is able enuf to do face to face negotiations and get things done.

Judging by the contract for 8,000 non union peeps upstairs, we can clearly see we have peeps that dont understand. Our guys dont know what they are doing. Im not joking, i could fix this in about 1 or 2 days.

This contract would have been taken care of and ratified 1 year ago if i was there. These guys could care less about members. This is a very very easy negotiation but these baboons effed it up with their egos and putting the association first. Possibly i could pull it off in 1 day but prolly 2.

Spoke to a friend in EWR rumor has it AA is getting their time back on 12/31 contract or no contract. I don't know what other cities were closed in AA bankruptcy now being worked by LUS. Personally I don't believe it's true

You and I know that's not the case. We both know some offers have been better than that. There is no way they are going to give the agents 10 holidays and try and stick us with 5 (our contract). Neither contract has ready reserve, are they seeking that with the Delta pay. Are they trying to increase the cap on part time to 50% W? This answer you seem to be accepting is nothing more than a blanket statement that is recycled in update after update...why are you so afraid of the Ass throwing it on the table. Why do feel it has to be top secret. Why won't you exercise your right as a dues paying member and demand the Leadership stop with the lip service, stop allowing AA to call them liars and demand action. Here you go, here is our proposals, now let's show the members yours (AA). You ever wonder why unions are trusted less and less...accountability and transparency. Something they can control, but instead want to keep the members on a leash, at bay, in the dark if you will. I want to trust the union, and for the most part I do. But if I have to beg, fight, scratch to get every bit of information about stuff that does and will affect my life in the future, then something isn't right. Hell, AA is who I should be doing that with, not my representation. Lombardo had me sign up for some unite letter the other day. Cool, now what, was that the first shot, what are we going to do now. Obviously it didn't phase AA the first session or two after that showing of force...the update was the same. The Association knows how many of us feel my way, and the Association also knows how those on your side of the fence feel as well. Right now apparently they feel your side is the right side. Hopefully in the not to distant future, our fences will mend and we do have that industry leading contract.

See Weez I told you, it's time for Tim to save the day. Unless Tim is on his second six pack and getting beer muscles.
