JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

So Parker states in the SOTA Q/A session that they are not happy negotiations have not put the money in the pockets of the IAM/TWU members like it has in the other work groups. Goes on to say they are not seeking concessions and they are not the cause of the slow pace.
Lomabardo, why would you not have someone in the room stand up and refute what Parker just told the whole company...something so simple! That is what I mean by getting tough. If what the Associations says is true and Doug just tells the whole company you guys are liars, why not come out swinging. I really don't get why you guys are easily controlled!!

Even weak Little would have had something coming out blasting the company. Whether he meant it or not, he would have at least publicly made the next move. I look forward to your next "C'mon guys, patience, get behind us" memo, but also realize nothing will be done about the company running both the show and the propaganda machine...

Exactly.
Someone should have been in the room to call Parker on his BS.

Guess we'll start hearing about negotiation dates for 2017, because the process is so nuanced and if you've never been on a NC before, you would never understand.

The problem is that if we dont have a ratified contract by january 1 we may be the only group C blocked out of our hard earned profit sharing. They are stealing our money.

this is something that deserves to answered by the reps that come here

Did the Association and company meet this past week? I saw Isom and Kirby sitting there on front row of the SOTA Parker presentation just having a good ole knee slapping good time, so obviously neither one of them were in negotiation attendance.

I think that seniority committee this week and a couple nc members or on that. That mess stinks we were told those issues were solved what? a couple year ago?

Yes cltrat, I even have a copy of the MOU letter. Also, I thought it was just the M&R that were having the Seniority meetings this past week. I thought Fleet was starting back JCBA negotiations the week of 7-18. If they did not, then they have not negotiated since the week of 6-27???
If that is the case, that is totally unacceptable...A month without negotiations!

Hey, those guys have to recharge. You wouldn't want them negotiating 7 days a week, you know, like they did in  03 and took everything away without any hiccups at all during the roughly 8 week negotiation.

That would lead to guys killing each other, crazy town. Be patient. Theres always 2017.

I wonder how many are buying the bull S that they couldnt negotiate cuz the same guys are on seniority committee. We have 16,000 members, too bad these dope didnt properly delegate. Also, the seniority can wait since it wont or shouldnt slow down negotiations.

1 month and no negotiations. Sad.

I nominate you,tough guy!

As soon as Mr. Parker's mouth stopped moving when he stated they were not the reason for the slow pace and that they were upset at where negotiations stood, the ASSOCIATION should have immediately  had a response both there in front of the crowd Doug was entertaining, and to it's members who continue to question the benefit of the mess called the Association and to flat out say Doug is being dishonest and the company is indeed requesting concessions after posting billions and billions in profits. While this group of negotiators may very well be doing there best to get us an industry leading contract, the IAM and TWU leadership is failing miserably in pushing back against AA and in convincing it's members they are indeed to be trusted and the Association was the right decision. It's almost now bordering on cowardly in it's lack of response from IAM/TWU leadership to being called liars.

If I worked in Dallas I would have tried.
Thing is, we are paying people to represent our interests, except I see no evidence of said representation.

You really have to shake your head when you hear Parker say they are upset. Like you said there is no response from union leadership. Something is really wrong with this picture. You have to think the Association has been a negative and perhaps a big one. With no response to Parker's remarks you have to take him for his word which means the Association has failed the negotiators and the members. It's like the union leaders are comatose. It just seems wrong and strange.

Exactly Talos.

Parker's comment on the process and delay: "This is not the company's issue, and anyone suggesting that it is is not forthcoming."

Associations response:____________________________________________________________________________________

Again, (and if you can't tell I'm really frustrated) if the IAM/TWU is going to allow Parker to broadcast company wide
that it's our union the Association preventing our raises without any response...we are in trouble!

I feel sorry for the guys on the NC. This Association has to be deemed dysfunctional at best. The company could care less with the cost advantage given to them. It's a wonder Parker didn't laugh when he said they were upset about it. These guys try to negotiate and leadership does not back them up. And soon it's the TWU's turn to be the Association spokesman for lack of a better word, or a word that's not obscene. Now Parker informs all members in public remarks it's the Associations fault. It doesn't get much worse than that.
