I've had medical insurance since I first hired on. Wow did I waste a TON of money on that. How many years have I been stuck having to pay for car insurance and have "never" used it.

I'd love to go with Universal Health care but besides that yes I am saying who the hell needs medical insurance (when you're young in particular) I didn't get into the Health insurance scam until I started at AA when I was 30.

My Mom didn't have any medical insurance for me and her while I was growing up, and I didn't get (or even think) about Health insurance when I moved out at 20.

And here I am today ALIVE. Breathing air and sometimes spewing my venom. No catastrophes. Lightning never struck me.

Now if you're older and can afford that Linus security blanket, sure why not. And there's lots of pills to keep you going till none of the marbles in your head roll around anymore so you might need some.

But yea it was designed as a scam and it's still one big HUGE scam today.

We're so concerned about Healthcare because we are a Country full of fat, sedentary, paranoid individuals. Here's another one of our MAJOR problems. And we prefer to ignore it than face the problems head on.

Maybe it will force the company to get out of the (scam) insurance game and they can give us the cash they say they "supposedly" pay for our healthcare and we can make our own choices?

The company claims they pay roughly $2500.00 per month for a family plan? For me they claim they pay around $500.00 per month? So split the difference. Give us all a $1500.00 per month raise and I'll salute their medical plans a hasty goodbye.

Here's a question for the readers to ponder. If I chose not to use the Medical insurance that AA offers me, why don't I get a rebate for the costs I'm "supposedly" saving them?

Because I maybe go to the Doctor once a year (some years not at all) and they LOVE keeping that part of my compensation. (Don't like the idea of becoming a pill popping drug addict either BTW)
