JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Hey kid scram. The adults are having serious conversations here. Go to the store and buy yourself some comic books to entertain yourself.

So is it now UA or DL + 7%?
I remember the first part about the + 4% after jcba but the other parts about it being rolled into our raise may be true but was never properly spelled out to the membership or I'm just getting forgetful and old

No. That was before the raises received by DL and by UA in their current CBA.

The DL+7 was in 2014 and with the upward shift in wages the target became whoever is on top +3.

The 4% given to the APFA, and others with a JCBA, was to bring everyone a certain percentage above the highest paid. Since then we've received 24% in wages and stand to make a few percentages more to gain the top of industry wages.

Steve the “tag line” did not become whoever is on top + 3 because of any upward industry shift in wages. There is no proof anywhere to back up that false assumption.

The “Tag line” or “Parker Speak” became 3% because he relented (The BOD actually) to granting PS when it wasn’t originally a cost item that was going to be factored in as a Labor expense.

Anyway it’s all irrelevant as wages will be decided in the Negotiations and not on the pages of Airline Forums or Facebook and then by the decision of the Members to either pass or fail.

The DL wage increase, which they received because of a change to their PS formula, turned DL +7% to DL +3%.

The DL wage increase, which they received because of a change to their PS formula, turned DL +7% to DL +3%.

The +7% was not exclusively focused on Delta Airlines and UAL already had a less robust formula. Delta actually went more in line with what UAL already had in agreements.

Don’t forget that both airlines still maintained triggers that could add even substantially more to the payouts if profits in the following year were more.

So the DL wage increase was not the catalyst. It was our own re-adoption of PS back on to our compensation.

Oh and NYer if we go with your argument that our PS was not the catalyst then the readjustment of the DL PS back up to where it was should also bring back the demand to once again be compensated 7% above the top industry rate.

If we’re only focusing on Delta of course.

Sept. 16, 2015: Delta announces 14% wage increase and PS adjustment.

Sept. 26, 2015: Parker explains Delta +3% in CLT Crew News : "So, our new mandate to the teams...is to go take the DL rates and add 3%, not 7%, because PS is not nearly as lucrative but the pay rates are alot higher...

Not making any accusations here but where do I find this piece you posted to verify the comment? Where can I obtain the link to this CLT Crew News quote?

And if you can supply the source I’ll capitulate on his intention. But individually 3% still doesn’t come close to equalizing the compensation and even 7% might not match the return of the old Delta formula for next years comparisons.

Dude, has it dawned on you yet that NOBODY cares? Not even the 20 people that supposedly voted for your scam!

You actually were having adult conversations but you always seem to snap when NYer post and corrects you.

Look, you should be happy, you managed to convince some dumb lus peeps to hand over their health care. And as always, i understand your perspective trying to get a quickie contract.

The DOL must really enjoy Tim little nasally voice if they would stay on the phone with him for a full marathon session 12 hours?

Personally I would think a Government office would probably only be open from 9 to 5 but perhaps Tim is so mesmerizing a conversationalist that they kept the building open till 9 that night just for him?

BTW what was that vote tally again you say? 770 to 20. Yick Sad. 770 to 20.
Im guessing you are joking. We circled 51 stations and got over 40 which was all we had to do to qualify. But the blatant violations just blew up the whole process and caused a postponement. They knocked our totals down to 21. Per capita we actually crushed the incumbents in the 51 stations we circled including getting the largest local on the west coast (18,000 members) and the largest midwestern local.
At the end of the day, the incumbents knew they were going to lose so they just bought more time. Everyone knows the postponement will be lifted. And when the election happens we are almost certain we will win.

Weez I don’t have the link but I’m pretty sure he said that in the crew news.that was the excuse Parker gave for cutting it to DL +3
Which is a load of crap considering the DL % compared to our paltry 2%

Tim you really shouldn’t be calling LUS people dumb when you think the DOL is going to help you overcome a 770 to 20 beat down, I mean seriously

I’d just like to see the link to the official comments so I can read it in it’s full context. If that’s what Parker actually did say then that’s what he said. Again we have bargaining agents tasked to negotiate for us and I don’t personally adhere to any direct comments made as an absolute but more of a starting baseline for our Negotiators to work off of.

The disparity is huge between the two currently but again 2 of those reasons are AA made less profit and has to share what it set aside with far more employees despite the lower percentage it sets aside compared to DL and UAL.

When we finally ratify JCBA’s we are going to see those employment numbers begin to drop through movement, attrition and buyouts IMO. That will raise profits and in return PS.

Again I’m not and no one else should be a fan of, “At risk compensation” being used as a thought gauge on how much we should or shouldn’t make in direct wages. But thanks to the crying of babies in our Company I guess we’re now stuck with it.

Did you go out and buy yourself some Comic books like I told you to?

Now go sit in the corner and be quiet.

We have some dumb ones. Never tried to chase votes, i call it like it is. We have some really smart lus but also some dumb ones. Weez exploited that. Nothing against him, he is twu. Now lus health care is gone. No district election for 4 years sealed the deal. I know who to blame for that.
At any rate, I dont have any children on my health so it wont nearly cost me. Tuffa Lucka for some though.
