JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Sorry PJ but only you, thieves, and muggers will thumbs up an election where one team took the gloves off against the rules and declare victory. The people you support stole your pension, now stole your LUS health care, and pretty much "Pantzed you". You got your 'enemies' mixed up due to your blatant stubbornness and you keep shooting yourself in the foot. Sadly, you have now lost all of our health care as a result.
Thankfully, the Federal Government doesn't reward crooks and thieves that you support. The only question is if the vote will be in April or later in the year. Stubborn PJ fighting against someone who never stole a damn thing from him, yet he supports the thieves and muggers who stole his pension, cut his pension, and now are tossing in his health care. Can't fix stupid. Who knows, maybe you will lay down your station for them next. Sheesh!

Tim # 1 those individuals you ran against I don’t believe were in office when your Pension was cut. And your Pension was cut mostly because it was making promised payouts that it couldn’t reasonably make and the Global Economic collapse shown a light on that.

Even if you and your entire team was in office when the cuts were deemed necessary there would have been nothing you could have done, nothing at all to prevent that reality.

On the rest of your rant until you can show documented verification from the DOL that you and your team were dealt wrongs, no one is going to believe or follow you.

Suggestion being be quiet, shush. Chill out until you get something official you can jump up and down about.

I Believe Baskett is in negotiations. Therefore I’d trust firsthand knowledge rather than a “fly”.
A “fly” by the way that you admittedly said could be “inaccurate”.

I was speaking strictly wage. Not including holidays etc. “My Fly” also says to not be so quick in thinking that the IAM medical is out the door completely. With that said....IAM medical and the DOS wage and yearly increases would be accepted.

Oh no. I’ve been like the lone wolf on TWU soil who believes that the IAM Medical (as popularly called) can have a measure of survival.

If I had this right? IAM pays 14% of the total cost on one plan, we pay 21% of the total cost. Pop it in at 18% for all the following year after DOS and maybe even let the cost rise back up over the life of the contract and all parties come to that wonderful word “compromise”

You can’t pop an overnight one year to the next sticker shock increase on some guy with a family like that IMO.

And Racer with the crappy difference we have between AA and the rest of the industry on Profit Sharing, 7% is a reasonable trade off once again. 1 to 3% just doesn’t quite cut it.

And of course it could be even higher if our guys are selling the company some of our work or some higher productivity’s which I don’t think they are.

BTW I will admit as a Single I personally wouldn’t like the idea of maybe a lower wage increase than expected to accommodate a lower cost Medical expenditure that really mostly benefits people who “chose” to sprout a Family tree. It won’t benefit me that much frankly.

But hey I’m a nice guy so if you really need to, go ahead and put those kids up on my shoulders and I’ll carry them through the water.

The reason his “fly” might be innacurate is because his fly has lied to him in the past. His fly BTW IMO is someone at Ford & Harrison who uses him to put out ideas to see how we’ll react.

Personally I’m cool with it and see nothing wrong with gauging the pulse of people out there.

Even ran with Tim’s comprehensive (Ha Ha) that the Company then publicly countered. I wanted to see the reaction and most of it was close in line with the industry anyway, so.

Some of them were in office, and the cut happened around the same time that their 'consultant' blew the investments. At this point, the IAMNPF will need cut again. The newest figures will come out in April. Not good. And, due to the damage and irresponsibility of the Trustees (Yes there is a responsibility here), it appears that any new officer would have to organize massively to sustain the fund. Is it doable? Well, yea but an uphill for anyone, but the current bunch can't organize.

Prolly spent the better part of 12 hours on the phone with the DOL last week. It's possible that this election stays in April although I did ask for Summer or early fall based on the "Official" announcement of the GL already declaring themselves champs. Too much confusion when there is simply too much pollution and lies by the GL.

At any rate, "The Fly" said that LUS members will be allowed a one time opt out of the IAMPF. Educated members like me will gladly opt out and into a 401k at first chance.

Mr Baskett is only on the negotiations committee. The Negotiation committee is NOT the Executive Negotiation Team. Mr Baskett gets everything second fiddle.
The reality is that we simply don't have any Fleet Service members in negotiations. Mr Baskett, like other Sito Pollyanna's ring Sito's bells and don't have the balls to stand up to Sito and the fact that zero LUS fleet are actually in negotiations. Gary Peterson has the balls and insisted a current MX be involved.....and was granted. But on the fleet side, they are all rollovers. Thus, because of that, only 2 mechanics are negotiating for us, i.e., Sito and Tommy Reagon. Just like in 1998, when Frieberger and Tony D from DL141M were negotiating for us. The difference is that our fleet leaders had our backs and stood up and demanded a fleet service member inside negotiations. Then Maccarnone, and Chandlee, and Miklavic replaced the MX.

Remember, fleet has been hosed every time a MX negotiated for us. From the tragic 1998 agreement that tentatively gave up Catering (Frieberger claimed this wasn't lucrative to airline work), to the 2008 TA Tommy Reagon signed that tried to keep that seniority cleansing provision. Tommy claimed that it only affected a few people so no big deal to go back to day one pay if someone had 30 years. Tommy never did that for MX. Tommy really isn't even a mx, he dumped crap. Only later did he dabble into a certification but by then Roach already picked him up from his local into a GLR spot.

That’s Some Fly you have there.

Tim I took the white noise out from your post. I think I gave you the best response possible on that? Shush.

Part 1 yes you were close to 100% correct. People did make piss poor investments and did play games with YOUR money. That’s why if you notice I don’t bash you on that issue because it NEVER should have happened. But even with expert overseers I think you still would have gotten pinched with needed cuts. The Market collapse did that to all of us.

As far as it needing to be cut again. Well yes the wind is at your sails that you may very well be right? But that’s not 100% certain just yet.

Your second “The Fly” post. I hope that’s true? Actually if true and you can, and you decide to get out maybe you can also finally begin to put your sword down just a little. You always did have a few legitimate reasons to be swinging it.

Dude, LUS Medical has been tossed. Your fly is dead. Sito stepped on it. You can thank PJ and others who sat on their collective arses and trusted Sito and the other mechanic. It gone! I'll try to salvage things, after the fact, when we win the Grand Lodge election, but I think this JCBA may already be signed now. Thanks to PJ and Jay and other Pollyanna kool aid drinkers. BTW, the medical won't even really affect me as I'm the only one on my medical. Mine will go from $20 a month to about $75. My base pay will go up to $33 and I don't work in CLT Catering. Still, it isn't right to give up any concessions when a company makes billions. But it's easier for peeps to believe a convenient lie by the union bosses.

I'm only seeking a fair election. The sword is always posted towards those who violate.

Relax Tim. I know that they aren’t IAM but both Alex Garcia and Mike Mays are former TWU Fleet Presidents and know our contracts very well and they aren’t making decisions in a vacuum.

Take another chill pill. The Mechanics aren’t gonna put the screws to ya.

In the OFF CHANCE your “fly” is inaccurate on the medical, will you come back on here and tell everyone how wrong you were? Or will you:
A) blame the fly? Or
B) take credit for it?
I would put a C) give the NC kudos? ...but....well.....you know...
