JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Why should there be ANY negative changes to this JCBA? You still think we have to "buy" any and all enhancements with givebacks on other stuff? Like I said before "Stockholm Syndrome".

Fantastic non-answer. I want this JCBA done ASAP. But I am not willing to just settle because the company wants us to. You keep citing the NMB this, the NMB that. I hope we make it to and enter Section 6 talks. Because if that happens, it can be probably another 4-6 years before a JCBA is reached. There by destroying ole dougies plans and planned synergies. You see the company is more interested in getting this deal done that we are. They need these synergies. We do not. The real question is how much are they willing to pay for them? We are not and should not "pay" for any enhancements.

I was just sitting down eating some Greek salad and almost choked on a kalamata olive because I was laughing so hard. You are so naive, just because you said "Why should there be ANY negative changes". And if you do make it to section 6 you may stand to lose more.

LMFAO. You already bought the concession and were part of it, so don't back out of it now. Sadly, you bought it for all of us. And by the looks of your question, you may be too ignorant to understand anyways. Enjoy your expensive LUS insurance PJ, I tried telling you but you didn't listen. Hopefully Fly was inaccurate about catering being lost now. If Fly was accurate then you bought the catering concession as well. So Sad.

Speaking of Stockholm Syndrome...oh wait a minute, that's insanity at work here. Doing the same thing over and over again with the same results. Where is that election now tim? Oh, wait, the DOL is gonna save the day. Yup, that's insanity!

There shouldn't be any negative in any contract in an industry that's making so much profit. However, as businesses the airlines will want to match the costs of other airlines, as their shareholders expect, and that being the case we are not only fighting our airline but we're also fighting changes made at UA and DL. When that happens with the positives it doesn't matter much, like wages. When it happens with other things, like medical, not so much.

Section 6 is probably a worse place to argue to keep the medical because in that arena we're going against the airline and the NMB.

As I said, the IAM side would be more than willing to play the waiting game in trying to protect their medical, something I understand and believe the TWU would do if the roles were reversed.

The airline want the synergies, I agree, but not at all costs. They'll hold the line on their must have and the best defense against that would be no deal. I don't believe there is a deal with the medical intact so the next best thing would be to delay the change.
You really are a negative nelly aren't you. I guess we will find out when a JCBA comes out for a vote who was the most accurate at predicting the results of the negotiations. Because that's all we have are predictions at the moment. Unless you are tim "I know everything" nelson. He is always "spot on" with his predictions, so we may as well bank on what he says. Seriously, he was 100% correct with our stand alone agreement in 2014, he was 100% correct that he would win an election, any election. He was 100% correct that his BABU slate would force an election, yeah that dude is like Nostradamus when it comes to this stuff. I bet you are former management. With the way you root root root for the company to always get what they want. As I said before you would have sold the farm for peanuts just because the company said so. SAD.

OK. We'll see.

“My Fly” said that catering stays..just no additional cities for catering. Hopefully “My Fly” is accurate..But in case my “My Fly” is inaccurate please don’t blame me for bad info. It was “The Fly”

Bob,
Nobody listens to you. You couldn't comprehend that the 190 was a mainline A/C. Just shows your ignorance. You must suffer from Stockholm Syndrome also.

“Must have” or “Must haves” ?

Can someone show me where the Company used that term in any publishing or Road Show? I’m not sure how a lower cost to them on a particular item can equate to a “must have” myself? A must have would be you must have a Pilot to fly a plane.

A “must have” even to the NMB my assumption would be has to come with at least some measure of proof that it really is?

And this is not to make a claim about what’s ultimately going to happen with that out of pocket employee medical expenditure, since that’s all it really is. It’s an expenditure against your compensation.

Question? Does anyone out there think that any possible raises will decently cover a rise in your Healthcare costs if it does happen? If you’re at TOS FT and go to work 5 days a week my guess is you’ll be pushing $70,000 per year with no extra hours even counted in.

I would agree that $70,000 is possible at end or near end of the agreement. “My Fly” sees more in the neighborhood of 66,500 at signing then with increases throughout getting us near 70,000

The OT changes will be a negative for FT on the TWU side and a negative for PT on the IAM side. In “reconciling” the two contracts and trying to merge two very different philosophical languages it’s IMPOSSIBLE to not have areas that individuals are going to consider concessionary to them. People are going to have to adapt PERIOD.

And people HATE changes BTW. They don’t even want to consider them. They try to run from them. It throws off their equilibrium and puts them into panic mode.

I’m not sure (would have to read the entire agreement) I could accept that. IF IF IF the medical percentage did wind up being forfeited on the IAM side I just don’t see only a 3% increase off our BASE doing a good enough job at covering that loss?

I’m still in the line of looking for 7% DOS which with shift dif and Holliday’s puts us over the 70k hump.

No one is going to want to send us back something that runs the risk of being shot down either. Now of course if they slap a signing bonuses onto any deal I might as well throw my hands up in defeat for any argument against since I know too many already who will knock each other over to grab a dollar they see on the ground.

There you go talking stupid again. Accusing NYer of being management. Good Grief!

BTW, nobody lost any election, but I guess nobody can stop you from renting your brain out. Keep believing that Mr Baskett is going to bring back your LUS health care for you. Dude loves Sito.

And don't blame NYer. You had your chance but didn't listen. NYer isn't responsible for handing management our LUS health care, YOU are. Sad!

Sorry PJ but only you, thieves, and muggers will thumbs up an election where one team took the gloves off against the rules and declare victory. The people you support stole your pension, now stole your LUS health care, and pretty much "Pantzed you". You got your 'enemies' mixed up due to your blatant stubbornness and you keep shooting yourself in the foot. Sadly, you have now lost all of our health care as a result.
Thankfully, the Federal Government doesn't reward crooks and thieves that you support. The only question is if the vote will be in April or later in the year. Stubborn PJ fighting against someone who never stole a damn thing from him, yet he supports the thieves and muggers who stole his pension, cut his pension, and now are tossing in his health care. Can't fix stupid. Who knows, maybe you will lay down your station for them next. Sheesh!

I was speaking strictly wage. Not including holidays etc. “My Fly” also says to not be so quick in thinking that the IAM medical is out the door completely. With that said....IAM medical and the DOS wage and yearly increases would be accepted.
