JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

That's why I ask, I received a text stating there were no "official" meetings this week nor were there any dates set up for future meetings, although communication lines were open between the company and the Executive Committee.
I personally found this a little strange and and very disappointing.

I'm not even sure what "A small fleet group met this week in DFW to reconcile TA'd language and assign article numbers" means. I have never heard of anything like that. Must be an IAM thing. Is that just among a couple of NC members, or is it with a couple of AA NC members as well. This really is confusing and again the lack of clear information will only make the members question the Association even more. This lunacy has got to come to an end.

If we are close, say we are close and we are wrapping things up. If you are at a standstill, admit it and explain to the members the issue AA will not bend on. Where is Peterson. He comes out with this Youtube Video stating how bad the company is being, throws his anger around and states he will be back with another update after last weeks negotiations.
No threats Gary, you have earned my respect by telling it like it is and following through with your word...where are you at? We once again are kept in the dark and again only get these confusing memos.

It's time for real transparency guys, not this ridiculous, half ass guess it if you can update.

Have to admit. The word “reconcile” has been basically exhaustively overused throughout these talks.

AANOTOK,

Myself, Bill Wilson, William Fa and Andre Sutton were present at DFW headquarters with several Company Negotiators to prep how the JCBA will be laid out. We made sure punctuation, etc. was correct. We went over roughly 35 articles. Just so everyone knows, we had TA's on all of these articles but hadn't assigned where they would fall in the JCBA. After assigning where in the JCBA an article would fit, we had to assign article numbers and then go through every article and where a reference was made to another article, make that notation. When a comprehensive TA comes with the remaining articles TA'd, we will slot them into their designated positions. MX will be doing this same thing next week.

It would seem there are no meetings scheduled because the Company has not given a written counter to the last proposal submitted by the Association. At this point, it looks like all the items in question are related to each other since they have an impact on the bottom line of compensation.

I'd guess there are no dates scheduled, outside of dialogue, in order for the Company to gauge interest in putting together their counter while speaking with the Executive Committee in order to minimize an endless passing of proposals as each detail is worked out. Who knows how long that could take but it would stand to reason that once there is a written counter put together and passed we will be close to a TA. The final decisions of where each side stands could take place during head to head conversations rather than passing papers each time.

Hey Weez --The Banker/Politician is taunting you. I think it's safe to assume that a 'bank teller' with extensive knowledge regarding IAM internal matters, it's leadership structure, along with the Airline Industry knowledge-- just doesn't add up...

This is an intricate game to someone who thrives off of deception, and distraction... I just can't for the life of me guess who that may be...

Got any ideas?

That guy is either Tim or his buddy Atkinson. Neither one matters for squat at AA anymore anyway.

And to think we just had this forum back on the right track! Geez....

See P. REZ, if we would have had that as an official Association update, that would have been the most informative to date...

I would think you are right about the items in question being tied together. The companies counter on compensation issues will be interesting and maybe complex due to the 2 groups having different medical costs along with holiday pay and sick time. I'd love to get the LUS health deal along with what we lost years ago. Then again this mgmt group has bought back over 10 billion dollars in stock since they took over instead of taking care of all the employees so nothing they put forward would surprise me. They buy back the stock which enhances their pay and do not pay down the debt either. Not a fan of that strategy.

The chances of getting the current IAM medical are slim. If they even entertain the thought then they will look for steep cuts elsewhere.

For the IAM, the sacrifice would be their medical and in exchange, they could minimize cuts elsewhere such as with some Scope language.

The counter from the Company will be in one big piece with any changes for the positive would mean to take away from somewhere else. The medical piece would be their "must have."

What’s pathetic is the pilots and F/As will soon be exchanging openers for their first section six since the merger. This pathetic “association” still hasn’t delivered you guys a single JCBA T/A let alone one that has been ratified.

When will guys have enough and fire the IAM-TWU Association?

Josh
True. I wonder if the F/A and Pilots will actually lap us again?
If things don't get TA'd by the end of this month then the chances of the Pilots and stews getting first in line are high. BTW, a fly on the wall reported to me that in addition to some of the concessions principled last August, now catering is toast. Although wages have been bumped from $32 to $33 at DOS. According to Fly.

Fly says the company really wants to sign and get this JCBA complete and if not done by March then it will tighten screws by eliminating any JCBA grandfathering language to LUS stations without 12 flights a day. Oh yea, the new flight activity cap will be approx. 12 Flights per day avg.

Question??
You have stated many times on here that fleet is done since August and we are waiting on mechanics. You have also stated that catering was good. So my question is, if fleet was done in August and catering was good, how can it be gone now??
I really wish you would tell us that are in negotiations what we have so it would save us all a lot of time, and hassle of going over everything multiple times.

Whatever happened to “Wikileaks”? Now his source is “The Fly”

Wasn’t there a failed Marvel Comics Superhero called “The Fly” back in the late 70’s too?
