I mentioned on this board several years ago (during the Obama Administration even) that Allegiant Air fleet service agents voted in favor of unionization, and were promptly contracted out within a few weeks. I noticed some outfit named "ATS" who had taken over the ground operations when I passed through LAS shortly afterwards. Does not strike me there to be much (if any) protection for small(er) stations for those who vote to unionize as without a contract, agents could be fired at-will.
And if that’s the case that’s why you keep going after all of the subcontractor companies too no matter how many times they want to keep changing their names. You just don’t make it worth the cost to continue to run a ground handling business.
Tim the great organizer seems to have become a little too skittish and less Gonzo than he should be.
These ground handling workers ain’t earning chit right now. They can always find another job that will pay them chit anywhere. They also need to keep up the fight for decent Airport minimums and I’m not talking “The fight for $15” It needs to grow into “The fight for $20” (With Benefits)
