JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

yesterday, i got in late for a small get together with ord twu president murphy. he wasn't too happy about the company wanting to outsource deicing. around these parts, a lot of popular cold-weather shifts and OT. i asked one of his right-hand men about any other potential outsourcing, and it doesn't look good for catering/lus side. i didn't ask about scope and how that might affect you at your station.

some around here are nervous about outsourcing freight. that doesn't seem to be on the company's agenda.

if you have any specific questions i will ask and get a reply to you. i'm not sure how much they can reveal to me or others. murphy is now in election stage and he spent some time talking about his opposing slate in this station.

GivIng up any work in this day/age should be seen as an abject failure on your NC’s part. Doing away with deicing in a place like ORD? Even worse.

i like murphy and co....those guys are are somewhat worried that the elvira slate is more 'millennial-friendly' and will appeal to younger new hires through facebook, etc. murphy got hot and was fired up, he wasn't happy with what elvira and his people are posting on social media.

szwed is an interesting person, believe me...just a bit too radical. rubel is a veteran of the wars.

Don’t underestimate the power and “reach”!of social media. In this day and age, he who gets people’s screen time wins.

Not just millennials, either. Take a look around your gate; how many people have a phone in their pocket?

Sorry Kev I know that you follow and support the antics of Mr Nelson here but especially when it comes to Negotiations updates I find his credibility to be extremely thin because on the LUS IAM stand-alone agreement what he was claiming wound up being 100% wrong. The entirety of what he claimed he was getting from his Wikileaks was incorrect.

And looking at the direction the industry is headed in regards to your group and contract groups it’s not exactly Rocket Science to be able to throw out a few decent guesses here and there.
 
And yet once again you ignore the reasons I posted see.

Lack of synergies costs money, and if you don’t know this the company’s first responsibility by law is the fiduciary rights to the shareholders.

One can argue the JCBA gains can increase what little synergies costs that is left (cost neutral) that is why you are still at negotiating and bargaining table
 
I fully agree. I suggest that our Grand Lodge stop taking our union pension for $1,300 bottles of wine and signing court orders to pay the money back; and I suggest that it step aside since it is not qualified under the constitution to organize. Organizing is a complete disaster once again. I suggest they stop forging cards at Delta and stop embarrassing us at Boeing SC. Stop hiring their sons and daughters and mothers of their babies. Stop limiting membership participation. Stop violating member rights.

This is the last chance for our union. We simply have to build a better union.

Or how about taking a vacation during the last week of the UA IAM/IBT vote that you were in charge of and not being at the NMB went the votes were tallied?

Its a two way street, instead of tearing your opponents down, why dont you talk up the positive things on your ticket and its candidates?

See there is another, lie, fraudulent cards at Delta would only benefit the company and not the union.

And unless you have an inside at the DOJ, no results of the investigation have been made public.

When you post a lie that is easily refutable you lose credibility.

Since you havent learned, lies and negative campaigning hasnt worked for you in the past, it wont work in the future, but your ego is in the way of you actually running an honest and viable campaign.

You will never learn.

You seem to forget you have many many skeletons in the closet.

They (jerry and gang) could try to take a page out of the CWA/IBT negotiators dangerous strategy

You can stay but your replacements will happen without scope and all new hires, transfers and work can be outsourced

When we lost deicing many years it did not really affect the mechanics’ ranks. Reason being is that it is not a job function that is accomplished 365 days a year. All that would be lost is nice ot.

The membership is going to have an election. They will decide if they love the IAM Grand Lodge, corruption, neptosim and death, ok? It won't be a rehearsal, we only have one chance to fix this union. Otherwise, Boeing SC will never be organized, Delta will stay a disaster and JetBlue will continue being an embarrassment for your friend Tommy. Deal?

we aren't going to be losing any small stations, LUS health care, part time caps, if we vote Sito out. Sito and Tommy are mechanics and have zero payment health care and 4 retirement plans. We will finally have a LUS fleet service in the Association executive. That's what is going to happen. And it won't be Fairbanks or any other LUS AGC other than Baskett. Baskett, imo, at least appears to care, even if I disagree with his politics and supporting Sito.

We have a lot of leverage and we can't cash in our benefits, just to be nice. The company has given us 'NO DISPLACEMENT" language and wants it. We can't give that up and small stations and LUS health care and part time crap. This union is insulting to even hint or suggest it. If our company was losing Billions then our leverage may be a bit lost but with no displacement language, that is a mighty big item the company wants. And it is retarded for us to pay to give that up with our health care and part time language. The company wants that....then pay up and pay up a lot to us!
