JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Simple solutions you know so NYer and maybe a few of his followers vote yes.

Change the OT back to make sure it completely benefits only the FT Member at the combined AA which really cold clocks the IAM PT Fleet guys and get the Company to agree to modify the CS back to the way we have it on the TWU side. As a matter of fact tell the Company to leave it alone for our side period and we don’t want the name changed either.

CS (Change shift) no Swap Shifts.

And you need to get these guys to release all the information involved in what they’ve agreed to. Of course that’s not how Negotiations work and everything is subject to change but who cares.

NYer demands it be so. It is his decree.
Not a nyer follower but ...YES!!!
maybe you belong in the NC after all lol

Yea but it would have been so much easier if NYer had been there.

1, 2, 3 we’re all done.

Still waiting for the dude to “explain the difficulties” since he keeps asking everyone else to?

Bob Owens is not a President so he wasnt asked, and he is a mechanic not fleet, keep up with the conversation, I am talking about the President for Fleets local 568 in Miami since that is a large local and their President isnt in the talks.

Neither of the last two Presidents of that Local participated and neither were asked to participate.

At this point, it seems the majority of the TWU negotiators are International staff with only 4 Presidents, out of 10 spots, left.

I heard that the President of DFW William Fa reached out and essentially demanded to be a part of the Negotiations and that’s why he was included.

Seems a little initiative goes a long way in your Union.

I was informed that the current President of Local 568 was indeed asked if he “wanted” to participate and he declined.

And I do believe the people who told me and not him who claims he wasn’t even asked.

15,000 or so Clerks/Agents were probably better off anyway honestly. This would not have been a good arena for his particular mindset.

The Local and the Members that reached out to the International concerning having MIA represented on the NC were told there were no open positions available.

I guess that's why there was no invitation and no other Local had been included on the NC.

Fa was fortunate to have been able to replace the former DFW President, who lost an election. The prior MIA President wasn't in the NC so there hadn't been an available position to fill, according to International.

BOS has one (Tim H.)

Which other LAA stations have fleet local presidents?

Josh

Actually BSO still existed on the LUS CWA side. They lost around 300 job positions when they gained their first JCBA.
Actually, they gained thousands of positions. 70% of that work was not protected prior to the JCBA since the LAA agents were non union.
I wouldn't have sacrificed current scope and I don't think we should sacrifice current scope, and I'm hopeful that our JCBA doesn't sacrifice current scope like catering for CLT freight or small stations for IAH, etc. I'm not a proponent of fighting for the unborn at the cost of our current members.

According to the august executive council agreements, according to my source, catering is going to stay, small stations will be grandfathered, lav work will stay. LUS health care will go (That's disappointing to me) I posted this in August. Since August there really hasn't been much to do with fleet service as the focus has been on MX. Obviously, there is a reason for that. Forced new elections may have something to do with it and I can't see Sito sacrificing his district officers with a TA that gives up LUS health care immediately before their nominations. But Sito has his own arse to worry about and maybe he has to pick and choose.

I have no idea about MX but if MX is close to a TA as Gary said, then I'm almost certain that the news about fleet will break to the negotiation committee rapidly and that fleet will announce a TA simultaneously. I'd say less than a week because the executive peeps wrapped it up in August. But I'm guessing you already know that.
