Agree W, it’s not right we don’t more than 5 weeks VC, and I have no clue what LUS has, but hell yes give me the LUS medical before another week of VC. I don’t work OT, but some how Watcher thinks that important to me. The man makes crap up...but oh well. yes, I would love to have their medical.

LUS CBA is available on JETNET if you are interested in what they have.

I think many posters, rank and file members and even some Leaders were under the impression that the TWU was not going to fight on this issue (When they got to it) Well they’re now in Negotiations up to that issue and should be showing everyone what the intentions always were.

There just never was a point discussing or especially harping on it earlier as everyone should have remembered what was in the original proposal presented to Management over 2 years ago now.

Buckle up.

We can hold the line for years if that's what the decision is. However, I'd be surprised if a JCBA would have anything other than the current LAA medical. Whether that is in 2018 or 2028.

Ok you read the proposal. You do realize that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for anyone on the IAM side to vote yes on it since it offers them essentially nothing. A few extra holidays and pay, and an extra week vacation at 30 years.

I know first that this is business and in that vein do you actually expect something like that proposal to not be utterly destroyed on the IAM side? Do you even think the TWU side would pass that POS?

You REALLY have a need to be right don’t you.

And hoodwinked Gary Peterson to bite on a prediction as well. Gary seems to have learned not to trust weezel anymore. And as long as GP keeps putting out videos, that should keep weez checked from makin dumb predictions.
The lus health wont be in the jcba. Maybe if the twu holds out we can get more than 9%.
The medical comparisons are shocking. Previously, weez said our health care was comparable other than a $50 bump, but thats a far cry from $6,500. Didnt know laa families were paying almost $700 a month.

I’ve posted actual pictures of our rates you idiot.

Actually, you've seem to be the one that hasn't had an idea of how these negotiations would play out.

Been telling you for more than 2 years that the IAM had much more to lose and little to gain so why would they want to rush towards a JCBA when being methodical was more in their interest.

You criticized them for not protesting. I've been trying to share that we'd be doing the same thing they were, if the tables were turned.

The Company puts out a proposal that shouldn't have come as a surprise since we've been predicting this for months and years and now you're going to tell us, "You do realize that there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for anyone on the IAM side to vote yes on it..."

Been telling you that while you were criticizing the IAM for not protesting last summer.

This is why!

If I’m on the US side, I’m in noooo rush. Why would I be? I’ve got cheap medical, a great side letter for scope, and more.

Stop whining about red marks, they don’t bite. By the way, if and when they bring a JCBA back to vote on, it will either be on there or not, then you vote. It really is that simple.
Have meaningful conversation and post what you disagree, instead of leaving a red mark.

2005, 2008 and 2014.

All agreed upon by none other than Jerry Glass himself.

And once again if we keep it during the worst of times, why give it up during the best of times?

Gone over this several times

Don't know what the priority was in those days.

I do know LAA has made getting everyone in the corporation into the same medical plans a top priority going back to before the BK. They're one group away and I don't think they will just let it go now while also opening a can of worms with all the other work groups during their upcoming negotiations.

You guys want to fight and keep it for the next 30 years, I'd understand and I'd hope we could get it.

However, I don't think it will be in a JCBA because they will prioritize it in the same manner the IAM will also prioritize.

Wow!
Well, that was a strange post. You were the exact opposite and actually blasted NYer for spelling out what would happen. Are you NYer or are you somehow scrambling to save face?
Sad

And Doug signed off on it in 2008 and 2014 and you know well he had his hand on approving in the last chapter 11 as he was taking over as ceo in 2005.

WeAAs is correct in your mind you have to be right

How many Members for the IAM? 10,000, 15,000?

Do you believe they'd rather hold the Line with 10,000 or have to deal with renegotiating medical with 100,000 that are already in the plans the airline wants them in?
