Key words..."so far."

Would be ecstatic if wrong on this, but it's been an LAA priority for 10 years and they're one group from their goal.

I might be on the minority on the LAA side, but I've always supported and understood not rushing towards an agreement.

For us in MIA, we're better off with our current PT and OT language so let's hold the line, but the patience on the LAA side will be shorter than the LUS side.

Then when we get into Section 6, the dynamics change drastically.

Section 6 will they go with what is TA'd already or start anew?

Start new as Section 6 the TWU and the IAM would only negotiated from their respective CBAs.

The JCBA has no baring on Section 6

So instead of three sets of negotiations there would be six!

We were told during the briefing last week they felt the ta,d agreements would remain but it was not required by no means

The sky is falling.

Get your mindset out of concessionary bargaining mode.

I guess you missed the part about going the distance in trying to keep it. Unlike others who've posted, I don't advocate just giving it up.

Just pointing out it will be one of the most important pieces for the airline. I've known and shared this was going to be a tough fight that will take time. At the same time, I don't think the airline will back off their stance either.

Unlike others who continually believed we were almost done.

Has it been TA'd?

I've said and maintain this will be the airline's top priority. Also been saying these negotiations will drag out because of this very subject, while others maintained the end was in sight.
To your credit. Every 2 months weezle been claiming a jcba.

Section 6 will they go with what is TA'd already or start anew?

I'd suspect they'll threaten to start fresh in order to put other favorable language in jeopardy, in exchange to send something for a vote, but I don't think they would actually want to follow through.

It survived three rounds of concessions in two different bankruptcies, a JCBA merger with HP and the Section 6 CBA in 2014.

If we kept during the worst times, why should we give it up in th best of times?

I believe there were several:

Tim aka Josh
AANOTOK
NYer
Why don’t you quote me?
I said it would be nice to get but I don’t think it will stay. I still see it as being in trouble. Hey Watcher, when did we vote on that contract that we voted to keep it. We will talk then. Folks like you twist it and try and convince others LAA employees don’t want it. Yes Watcher I want to keep mine and vote yours away.Geez!
