I think you often post "most likely" scenerios, even if it isnt what i or someone else wants to see.

That's refreshing because others like weez have been intellectually dishonest and claimed that we will fight and get laa on our current lus healthcare.

I'm not sure what he means when he says "fight". Is he goin in the octagon with Parker?
All we can do is hold or work things out. We arent in position to strike or anything.

We can always fight, but if we can't anticipate what may happen or what the reaction to our actions may be then, we will be at a disadvantage.

None of what is happening should be a surprise since it was telegraphed and even shared on these pages.

If we ignore the possibilities then we may lose an opportunity.

I agree

Martinez got over 500 locals with less than 100 members. My locals had over 15,000. I got many of the biggest locals and the per capita was over 50% which suggest my ticket will win when we have the election in april 2019.
That said, i aimed for the #1 job and not smallest Local position like you. You got destroyed.

You finished last and just got brutalized. Afterwards you completely switched your position, due to your bitterness, and turned on your own people and cut the deal with lehive.

Slaughtered would still be 770 to 20 not say 387 to 90......... But fair is fair Tim I gave you a Winner puck for the hit.

And I guess NYer finally started to interact with you I see. Bravo.

I wondered how long it was gonna be before you threw that card down...

Find me one post where I have EVER used the term “fight” regarding Negotiations?

You find one and I’ll leave all Social Media pages never to return.

That was 770 to 20 right? It’s just hard for me to remember cause those numbers are so insane.

70 to 20 would be a beating BUT 770 to 20, WOW!!!!!!!
Weez... 770...that's almost 40 times MORE than 20... dude...

Yea I think unlike Tim I’ve admitted here a couple of times without “excuses” that I got slaughtered. I got an absolute WWF style smackdown.

But somewhere down the line I’ll probably try again.

Maybe I’ll try for Local President. Very low expectations there.

Weez... you could always do like someone else here, and proclaim it a victory, and then file with the DOL for another election!

Lol. He dumb, man.
He just doesnt understand that it doesn't make any sense for me to go after locals with 15 members. When we got the big boeing local and the big Missouri local and some other super locals we knew we were outfront. Postponing the election allows us to continue to build and I think we will b in great shape for the election.

OK. Consider this. It seems likely for the IAM to have a larger turnout, percentage-wise because they have more to lose. Let's not forget that we only had a 62% participation rate for the bankruptcy contract (3,429 Yes votes...3,165 No votes....and 3,931 didn't case a vote). Their current medical and their pension are of the multi-employer variation which means they need the CBA and much as they need their union in order to keep those important items.

Couple that with a certain percentage of TWU Members that would go for the assured campaign by the IAM to sell their cheaper medical, more holidays, more sick days, etc. We can debate the merits of those items being worth the move but you would also have to agree that a certain number of our Members would go for that.

It may be our numbers would have won out, but I don't think it would have been a runaway and I think they'd have a chance to win a vote. At the very least, it would have been a long and acrimonious campaign.

Today, the airline released a flyer comparing current industry positions in Holiday, Vacation, SK, et al, with their proposal and a couple of those areas are equal or less than the industry.

i didn't see anything industry leading, save for OJI time and maybe banking 1,600 hrs in your sick bank (which aa didn't brag about anyways).

total contempt.
