Then I’ll remind you and everyone to one again to review the MIA THM, how come NOTOK gets it?
Bob, I'm with weez in support of iam members on this even though i dont agree with weez to lie to peeps that laa is goin to get lus current health. Personally, the twu is hosed and got pimped. Everyone else already made out well with the merger. I really dont see that changing this year as your twu boss, Alex, has decided to submit to sito and stand for lus insurance for everyone. It's called kicking the can down the road.

Lol. He dumb, man.
He just doesnt understand that it doesn't make any sense for me to go after locals with 15 members. When we got the big boeing local and the big Missouri local and some other super locals we knew we were outfront. Postponing the election allows us to continue to build and I think we will b in great shape for the election.
Kind of like getting CA.NY and TX in the electoral college

There is definitely a place the airline wants to maintain as their target for negotiations and although I agree with your analysis, I also believe there is a plan in place to make the current publicized proposal as a baseline and there will be a better option coming as they hear the feedback from the floor.

For instance, there are some that have pointed out the deicing piece and the pay rates (speaking on the TWU Fleet side). To me, their big item would be the IAM medical. So, what happens as we complain about the pay rates and the deicing and the next proposal has the UA +3% with the 2.5% annual raises and they grandfather the large stations with the deicing work? In order words, they check off some of the things we currently don't like. It leaves the leadership in a tough spot as some Members would want to see the entire package since their current concerns have been addressed.

The IAM side may also see some improvements in the pension piece, for instance, or some other aspect they deem important.

Would we be able to hold everyone together if some of the current negatives are erased?

It would be easier for Maintenance to hold their nose because they face much bigger systemic changes that directly affects a much larger percentage of their population.

Maybe it doesn't happen that way, but if it does, sure hope everyone would be ready and talking about different possibilities only helps us in staying in front of the process rather than become reactive.

So now it seems like you want to Negotiate for us here NYer. Maybe you should have went to the Parker Town Hall and told him that this is what you wanted?

Makes a lot of sense, Weez I leave you in good hands with NYer. My grandfather use to tell me "be a good listener " wish I would have listened ,its not to late for you

I know what Parker said and Parker has said many many many things that have been flat out lies over time.

Remember he told an old fart here that there would be no buyout.

BTW it’s called Poker Bob.

Oh Brother Al. The Retarded kid from my Neighborhood when I was growing up Joey could have said the same damn thing.

Haven’t seen pressure on just about anything from the Members work yet. ZERO. Otherwise we’d be in the middle of a crappy deal right now.

And we would have voted on the Association too.

Honestly think what NYer is saying is exactly what will happen.A little tweeking will get it to pass.Heck on bookface there are people who will take it as is

On the US side you cant hit them with medical, catering and pension all at once. Back off pension and catering raise pay to 32 and with the other stuff it would pass.

There is no pressure the members can put on parker. Parker most likely won't hammer the 850 ppl iam members and he most likely won't eliminate 100 clt workers or the 5 stations BUT if you think the membership can do any sort of "work safe" campaign then the risk will be to have parker open up a can on your arse.

Best option is to kick the can down the road. Then in about 3-5 years the TWU can have a shot to close the gap if all goes well.
I like you finally on our team weez but id be your worst enemy if i were twu.

In the primary. The election would involve all locals and expenditures like mailouts.
No reason to do mailouts dur in ng nominations. We are in great shape.
Tim Im afraid our medical is gone, 80,000 already have the AA medical and the 80% formula is catching on with most of the rest of the US.Why did the Weez flip and now want us to keep our insurance when he was instrumental in dropping it?

What leverage do we really have? These guys have to remember our pilot group was seperate until this merger. It is the TWU guys getting screwed not us,I could stay like this till the cows come home

What NYer is doing is attempting to bypass the work of the Negotiators after one of them came on here and said that undermines them.

But I already know that guy don’t give a chit anyway.

Lehive cut the deal with him. Weez flipped like a pancake. The iam was at a risky spot after 700 got the boot for his potty mouth, so weez picked up where 700 left off at. So, although i almost never agree with bozo, the longer I can hang on to my medical, the better. Having twu people bought off for us to help kick the can is actually a decent thing. Twu members need to follow their leaders, ie., alex and weez. I dont condone weez intellectual dishonesty of claiming the "fight is on" to get all laa on current lus health.

That will never happen but at least it gives the TWU a fake justification to submit to the iam in the name of lus health care.
