Steve refuses to improve your profit sharing plan. He also demanded in his infamous “take it or leave it” style that we should stop making such reasonable proposals. He does not think American should fairly share the industry-leading profits that Association members created.

I agree, this probably isn't an official take it or leave it comment, but from listening to Parker yesterday they are waiting on the Association to reach out. He also hinted that all that would happen was they would take (weaken their offer) from one area to improve in another.

yeah, i think johnsen was wheeled out in a calculated way to start the bad cop (johnsen) - good cop (glass) routine. i believe the assoc. saw through that and will forge on, but they couldn't help but take some shots at what officer johnsen was going on about. let's hope officer johnsen moves along and he'll probably pull over and break the tail light of the cwa car, when it's their time.

if parker is not hinting and will hold firm on the total compensation package not being increased, we'll know when the frisbee gets tossed back to the assoc.

i can't put my finger on it for sure, but i believe the AMTs had a starring role in everyone getting raises. i'm seeing and hearing of more flight and pull delays....this coming right before a summer that is predicted to be 90+% load factors.

let's see if officer johnsen gets a call.

nice to see Parker shown to be the liar we knew he was
I thought what was extremely telling was Parker never stated what we are getting was better than UAL or Delta, he kept stating that it was costing AA a certain figure more to improve on what we already had. Industry leading isn't what benefits us, it is how much more it's costing the company. He stressed that over and over. So once again, it's about the company, the hit management and the shareholders financially take, NOT about the workers and a ILC.

That complacency is what got us all in this mess in the first place.

What mess? Where am I in the middle of a mess? I don’t see a mess. I see my Unions in the middle of continuing collective bargaining conversations that have currently hit a snag only a few weeks ago.

I hate that term “mess” it’s ridiculously overused.

Besides that Kev. Except for your Social Media activism you’re personally a pretty complacent individual yourself quite honestly.

Well, you’re a senior guy in a hub, so I guess it’s easy to not see what’s happening. My point still stands.

Aren’t you the one that keeps telling me to get out of my bubble? Maybe you oughta take your own advice. Just a thought.

As had been stated for a few months now, this whole thing is a process that I believe started when they invited the NMB to attend some of the negotiations sessions.

They've been working towards making a last ditch offer before moving onto Section 6, with the airline expectation being a vote prior to that.

They could, for instance, put out information that would cause some debate between Members then put out a second (planned) update enhancing their first publicly released positions or make enhancements to their official counter-proposal to Association.

In the Fleet world, they could modify the language about the Deicing and possibly the catering, while enhancing the pay to equal UA +3 and 2.5% annual raises.

If they do that, you can believe the conversations in many locations changes as many Members will see an improvement and will want a chance to voice their opinion.

If the Association isn't ready for that and get in front of the messaging now, it will be difficult to tell the Members they won't get that chance to voice their opinion.

The Maintenance side has bigger issues to deal with so it would be easier for them to continue into Section 6.

Uh you know how some Mechanics claim we ride their coattails? Uh.

Didn’t see any FSC in that MIA Townhall raising Cain. Or even the Local Fleet President either.

Kev I didn’t start in a Hub as you recall. I was just smart enough to move to them to try to gain something better and more secure for myself.

Oh and I also don’t think I hired on as a Senior guy either? I think I had to slog it out, scratch and claw for 23 years to get there.

Kev did you ever work anywhere else BTW? Yea you need to get out of that bubble. You’re living in a very small World there.

so, we're not tied at the hip? fleet and maintenance?

i believed that no TA for maintenance meant no TA for fleet. am i wrong?

One more on this laughable comment.

A Queens NY Yankee moves and spends 12 years in Redneck Bible Belt land DFW then moves to Little Havana, Latino rich MIA and you’re the one telling me that “I” should get out of my bubble there Cheese Farmer??????

LMFAO.

yes, we are the bag smashers. are we holding them back from $55/hr because we make $31/hr?

brake riding??

Remember he believes the NMB will somehow force apart the groups at some point in time.

I’m still waiting to read just precisely where they have that jurisdiction?

That's the current Association position but each CBA stands alone and can be reached at independent intervals.

If the negatives are taken away from the Fleet positions it becomes harder to keep everyone tied with one another and if we go into Section 6 it would be probable the negotiations would be separated.

“””I can't put my finger on it for sure, but i believe the AMTs had a starring role in everyone getting raises”””

Put it to you this way. They were Tom Hanks up in lights.

You’ve never worked in a line station, either.

Exactly! Don’t forget where you’ve come from.

Kev did you ever work anywhere else BTW?

Yes. Over my career, I’ve been in line stations, gateways, and a hub.
