Weez Sito and company did say the UAL agreement was good and tried to sell it.Even the new CEO knew it was chit and moved to change it.I know the rank and file voted for it but they were misled by their union leaders the people they pay to watch out for them... atrocious

Al they were incredibly lucky and fortunate that Smisek was thrown out of UAL and the winds turned in their favor or yes that group didn’t have a very bright future in front of them.

Munoz needed to do this to try and turn around UAL’s operational performance.

It wasn’t lousy from where they stood and that was a mid term opener too that dramatically IMPROVED what they had.

They had crap before that. You’ve heard that here from T5stowbar who works for UAL.

Im dropping it ,we are on different pages

The current UAL CBA only looks good when compared to the one immediately before it. Both are great examples of how NOT to craft contract language.

So are you trying to say that language can be crafted any way we damn well please and the Companies just go along and say “Sure Joe Union, whatever you want” ?

You do realize it’s called Negotiations and not Hostage taking and whatever Ransom we call for right?

I’m hoping that you do realize Negotiations is not as easy as you might be implying here Kev?

Al in that story to me both the Members, the Leaders and the Company somewhat rectified a prior BIG mistake.

The Members wanted more money over jobs, leadership rolled over and gave it to them and UAL’s operations suffered for it.

Lose, Lose, Lose.

Yes Kev its not wise to have language in your contract that eliminates you job in the coming years. The fact it was crafted and promoted by your own union sucks

Al you’re becoming like a Master at conveniently leaving out all of those Bankruptcy guns pointed at all of our heads.

For the times we didn’t have the guns to the heads we get the “We pay their salary crowd” That’s the crowd that votes no for less money but more jobs and then screams Socialism.

Seems to me everything is the fault of the Labor organizations to you Al, where at least I can try to look at it “Fair and Balanced”

Kev what time of year does DL tell you you're getting a raise(if you're getting one)

Whenever, if ever they want. They have no contract.

But “supposedly” they’re supposed to hear something near the end of the year?

I thought someone mentioned here recently that they look at it in April but I could be wrong. Please correct me if I am.

They went into effect in April I believe. Delta gave them a future Profit Sharing raise so far and that’s it.
