The company is already certain that 95% would vote for this since they will rush like a pack of wolves and could care less about scope loss. Its not egotistical for you to think anything you say will matter but being only 5% it simply wont matter as much as you think.
What does matter is sito and alex because whatever they ta for a vote will be devoured. Ive seen it all the time. Sorry weez.
I keep tellin you what happened but you dont listen. New election stalled talks until april 2019 now. Sito doesnt give a crap about health care (see united, spirit, rail contract, mcgee, united ground) but he does care about his arse.

i'm thinking this thread could and should be streamlined with a another thread, 'i want to be an airline union president' or 'i knew rule 3 from appendix 8, section 5, paragraph 2 from the 1903 ice delivery union contract with the acme ice house, before you did'.

i'd like to see posters post their absolute red line on what they vote 'no' on in regards to a TA. i'm guessing most lus posters would say insurance. i work in a hub, have decent seniority, so, scope in regards to opening stations would not be a red line for me.

without the company getting out of control on other articles, my red line is wages/total compensation package. with or without factoring in the company getting their way on insurance and other articles, i expect at least $32.50/hr and differential on DOS. factoring in the company getting what they want with insurance, c/c language, no change to profit sharing formula and making the CS policy contractual; this would take me to $36.50/hr max rate.

the more the company moves the toggle switch and doesn't bend towards scope, the more i want back from the company in compensation.
The job losses projected from the company's video are disturbing to say the least. Considering the compensation mgmt is getting, it is very hard to accept and makes you feel you are subsidizing mgmt. They need to get a lot more creative with a better offer. The jobs for money is just not good enough.

PIEDMONT Al hired on with US when I was 13 and I always come back to give him respect for that. He has a right to his opinions. I don’t like it when he does it with mockery though sometimes but then again I do live in my own glass house.

So I’m not into the guy should just quit line that’s thrown back and forth in both directions. But I am always curious why people who aren’t fans of being in a Union don’t go into Management? That’s a job where you don’t lose your time in the Company and have to start from scratch AND they give you a raise.

I think deep down I know why they don’t go Management though, lol.
13 weez I was doing the 4th grade for a 3rd time when I was 13.So you're telling me Jetblue and DL go union there wont be job cuts?they won't have to wait 5 years for a contract? I have an old friend who is a Jeblue manager I hope he asks me to speak in the break room it is morally the right thing to do

Life comes with risks. And even though this is off topic here and we’ve beaten these horses beyond death, I don’t think the 40% or so Ready Reserve Group has that much to lose anyway.

I don’t know what Delta or JetBlue will do? How the hell should I know Al? I’m not an organizer or looking to be one but Tim the Crackhead Parrot can repeat it till he falls on his head again for all I care.

I don’t “think” Delta would want that kind of bad press personally though. Or to muck the shitzle out of their operations either.

Just ask any old-timer from Legacy Piedmont Airlines what not having representation did for them just after USAir reamed their asses post merger...
Their answer will be the very reason we have the IAM to this very day-- The Company PROVED what being an "Employee at Will" actually means!

What the f##k are you talking about.they couldn't figure what kind sick time to give you so they gave you 10 days for each year eben if you abused your time in the past. They gave Acting managers with 3 years the job over someone with US with 35 yearsYou got raises and a shorter time to reach top pay.I went out with one of your girls for six years she loved the .merger.After the merger they guaranteed you would make at least the same you dod the previous years Bogey numbers something like that

They also gave people from Empire their time after you screwed them

It has nothing to do with unsupported opinion. The question remains, show me evidence that 1 single ramper has anything more than a prayer at jetblue. All you do is gossip cuz you never did one thing for the union or your gate team except be a gossip queen.
Ive shown you 6 scenerios....all INSTANT death for jetblue rampers except at spirit where 1 station was saved when the iam agreed to an 8 year top out at $14 and no health care.
At delta, i doubt any ready reserves would get whacked, probably 99% full time and if they are lucky then maybe ATL ramp stays but not cargo. Its a dumb risk. Even if they get lucky by keeping atl ramp then it will be 5 years with no pay raises and pay cuts.
There simply are zero models to support your unfounded claims....and so what...so maybe atl can pay dues?
Dude you are a troll. You never engage with credible references. Now get back at your gate and stop robbing the company as you post 200 comments a day.

It was 5 days of sick time, not 10. I can also assure you that there wasn't much if any sick time abuse back then. I saw many that gave it a try, and were stopped dead in their tracks. I also knew of several people who were legitimately sick for a few weeks, and got paid for every hour of it. Sick time was there if you needed it.
As far as the "bogey numbers", they were given to both PI & US in any commonly staffed cities to guarantee no loss of extra wages following the merger. Given that there wasn't much OT on the PI side, the US guys made out far better on this deal.
