I have no clue. Why the hell are you asking me that? That would totally be up to your members, nit me or anyone else.
The only way I could see that Swampy, is if you were right this whole time on T/A day, or if they go as long as we did, once they get to section 6.

SWAM if you're not available for recruiting pehaps you could walk us through what to expect in a 7 year negotiation

What do they have an offshore office?International you have 3000 members I have more money in the ashtray in my car than you have in your treasury
Sorry national, you can have whatever union you want. It's you guys fight with your management team. This is mainly for the maintenance side of the house. The USair side is sitting good.

Not to re-open an old wound with Tim, but the letter reads, "regarding the Executive Committee's meeting with the Company" so should I interpret that to mean the official Negotiating Committee is just handling coffee and photo copies?.

Don't forget the donuts with creamy filling.

What a mess. Sheesh!
Not really. I mean the iam and twu gave up their certifications so now the association is in fact the cba for both contracts.
Its only a mess for twu people since they will now have to wait years. NYer had his concerns about this for his members but his voice was drowned out by weez guaranteeing contracts in quick fashion. Even GP and the executive mor okkns claimed quick fashion. Its not hard to see how unprepared they truly were now that they are screaming to the company, which has left the building, in their daily barbie tantrums. I mean the daily tantrums are addressed to members but its just "communications in vain" to the company.

I dont mind my contract. Let weez keep ringing the bells for the iam and throwing his own under the bus. He been punked.

Actually that is true. Negotiation committees with the iam are useless and cosmetic in nature. They usually just send them to do research errands to keep busy.
When i was in office, i saw this sham firsthand because negotiations were done down the hall from my office.
Basically, the Grand lodge rep and delaney went in negotiations with 3 or so company reps. The united negotiations committee were almost always in the kitchen. I myself got them in a fantasy football league to keep them busy. Not joking. Just a waste of money. At the end of the week, the communication guy mancini, would write an update by using terms like "some progress was made", or "negotiations were tense". Delaney and the negotiations team never wrote anything. Mancini went on vacation one time and submitted the update ahead of time.
Then when a ta comes out, most dont even know what was negotiated. 700 gave up his whole craft. Klemm signed loa not knowing it will subject all jobs at united to be contracted out.

I think they have been in the waiting room for some time now
They are weak on the lus side. Just not strong enuf like a gary petersen to stand up for the members by making sure a fleet guy is a part of executive team. Dummies. Instead they stand behind tommy reagon who is the company's right hand man. We kicked tommy the hell out of negotiations before after he stole from fleet to give to hix mx group. Dude hates fleet service.

I have no idea, never been there. Although you may very well found out if no contract by your amendable date in Sep. 2018.

I wouldn’t be surprised that they would have been asking for that. My guess is that was prior to you organizing with the IAM and gaining your first CBA?

A few years back here we heard the Pilots we’re trying to negotiate boarding priority for non rev over other workgroups?

Now if that was actually true it’s a pretty crummy thing to ask for frankly BUT the APA represents the Pilots. They don’t represent anyone else and they don’t have a fiduciary duty to worry about us in that realm either.
Your guess is correct Weez...

The Pilots' (or any other represented work-group) are negotiating for themselves, NOT other work-groups...
Especially, when they are UNREPRESENTED groups -- In this case, it was just prior to Fleet organization, and representation.
ALPA actually lobbied the Co to possibly outsource other groups including Fleet, that were unprotected BEFORE they would negotiate.

I posted this to remind the idiot ant-union posters here, that not only are you prey to the Company, you are also prey to represented groups like ALPA etc. when you are not part of the organized workforce.

Anyone that thinks they would be fine without a Union is working for the other side... PERIOD!
