Your guess is correct Weez...

The Pilots' (or any other represented work-group) are negotiating for themselves, NOT other work-groups...
Especially, when they are UNREPRESENTED groups -- In this case, it was just prior to Fleet organization, and representation.
ALPA actually lobbied the Co to possibly outsource other groups including Fleet, that were unprotected BEFORE they would negotiate.

I posted this to remind the idiot ant-union posters here, that not only are you prey to the Company, you are also prey to represented groups like ALPA etc. when you are not part of the organized workforce.

Anyone that thinks they would be fine without a Union is working for the other side... PERIOD!

There does seem to be some people here on this Union Contract Thread who are anti-union and I don't get it either. I work Union and support Unions in other areas of my life. My Union Job has been good to me. There have been setbacks, but I am convinced they would have been worse without a union.

They seem to be applying a little more pressure right now so I take that actually as a good sign that it’s getting to them or this is getting closer to a conclusion?

My “guess” is when you’re close to the end of Negotiations the real haggling for the price with the salesman at the dealership begins.

They waived it to get rid of cargo protections. Delaney admitted he screwed up on that but i believe it was a deal cuz united stood down and allowed the iam to pick up the 400 scabs who took over the work. Thats why i say im pro worker insetad of pro union. Peeps like weez are pro union, over workers.ill stick it up a unions ass when it screws workers and the iam has been the devil at united.

Neither of those outfits were established in 2012 Weez. I believe IAH sCO cargo work went to an outfit called Hudson but don’t remember.

The IAM also allowed seven sUA stations (CVG and MDT were among them) to go to third parties before the T/A got ratified.

Tim will we be getting a new negotiation tesm for section 6? Id like to see a fleet rep on executive committee. Also I hope Weez stays far away so as not to give up anymore of our benefits

The Weez is not a Socialist Al. The Weez is absolutely a Capitalist. The Weez just thinks Capitalism needs to be mindful that if it doesn’t share its fortunes to at least some degree, the mindless rabble could lead a revolt which is not something we really want. There’s too many of them out there.

Top of the World? Nah. The Capitalist in me wants far more. You can’t tell. The Humanist in me does appreciate what I have though.
