I reject the stimulus package.
I reject tax payers having to fund an overstaffed airline while they literally have people sitting at home doing nothing.
I reject giving people an extra $600.
Most of all I reject our government giving 15 BILLION dollars to a bunch of damn foreigners while our country is 27 TRILLION dollars in debt. That would be like you giving away $1,500.00 when you were $2,750,000 in debt.
I reject giving people on unemployment an EXTRA $300 a week when there are so many companies hiring. That comes out to $7.50 per hour and $15,600 per year. Mind you that is EXTRA not the totality of the unemployment they are receiving. In my state the max unemployment under normal circumstances is $520 a week. So that would add up to $820 a week. That is $20.50 an hour. The median income in 2019 was only $19.33. I found 4 jobs the other day in 15 minutes in my local area using Indeed paying $20.00 an hour. None of them required degrees or special skills.
Another way to look at it is this. To qualify for $520 your job needs to pay about $47,840 on average. On unemployment you would be making $42,640. I don't support paying someone that kind of wage to just sit at home. Many people EXCEED their income sitting at home. This "stimulus" is nothing more than a way for the government to promote socialism. There are too many jobs out there hiring right now to justify paying people to sit at home on their ass. We already have enough of that BS in this country with lifelong welfare riders.
I reject the stimulus package. If you get laid off go find another job, there are plenty of them out there.

We can talk about various parts of the package, and why we like them or not, but that doesn't change the over all fact that for some people this is a lifeline.

It is a lifeline for a lot of folks.
And for the folks not following the news the unemployed collecting benefits are now required to do job searches (at least in my area) and actively looking for employment, so they are not just sitting at home doing nothing. Also let us not forget that unemployment benefits are paid at a % of what these folks were making before as it is all determined by how much you made in the past. Now granted the added $600 originally did get a lot of folks closer to full pay and now it's $300 but on a temp time frame this go around. Unemployment benefits outside the added amounts generally only add up to about 25% of their original pay. not really something to brag about or even ride on for any length of time.
Now I do disagree with anyone receiving any money or any others who are receiving their "regular" paychecks with no cuts to pay and/or benefits.

No. It's a hand out. Emergency relief would imply there are few or no opportunities for employment (like the great depression). That is not the situation we are in. Jobs are plentiful right now. Unfortunately so is socialism and laziness.

Yes actually they are. They can do job searches over the internet. They can literally apply for hundreds of jobs per day (job boards make one click applications easy). Want to bet most are only doing the minimum search requirement? Also when people don't actually want to be hired they target jobs they are technically qualified for but very unlikely to get.
WRONG. If you work 40 hours a week at $7.25 an hour that comes out to $290 dollars. Below the $300 subsidy. Plus they get their regular unemployment. For a full time job (40 per week) at $7.25 an hour regular unemployment benefit in Oklahoma would be $163.91 per week. You are getting a total of $463.91 a week for a job that would normally only pay you $290 a week. You are getting a $173.91(37.49%) raise just to sit on your ass.

25% huh? Based on what? Are you just making numbers up or do you have anything to actually back up what you are saying? I can't speak for your state but I can tell you in the state of Oklahoma your claim is total BS. In the example I gave above regular unemployment benefits outside of the added payments are 56.52% of their original pay. Sounds to me like you are just making crap up to sell an agenda but anybody in the know will see right through your lies.
At least you have some sense.

Welfare Queen, is not a myth. I lived in what would be referred to as a socially and economically 'disenfranchised' area for 18 years. I've seen it first hand, met people who were WQ's and were proud of it. There were several videos on YT where people bragged about how they were getting over. Unfortunately, the number is far greater than the left wants to acknowledge.

No doubt. I have some worthless relatives who are all welfare lifers. Have not worked a day in their lives and don't intend to. They are perfectly happy to hold their hand out and live off of the taxpayers. They taught their worthless ass kids to do the same thing. So you have 2 generations of absolutely worthless parasites who are able bodied and refuse to work because the government has made it easy for them sit on their ass and collect a check.
This is absolutely happening and on a wide scale. The left downplays it because having a bunch of welfare lifers plays right into their goal of socialism.
These people are products of the system, pretty much pawns of liberal/progressive policies. Hence the term 'democrat plantation'. In reality, they are unwitting pawns. I see them more or less as victims instead of the cause.
