Who wants to tell LaLi most of his wife's wages this year were covered by taxpayers?

If my wife gets laid off believe me we will be just fine. Unlike most we don't run our bills up so high that we can't pay them on one income.

Oh, i dunno. From the cold , hard, Vulcan logic, it makes perfect sense. Would it have been smart to bail out TWA, Pan Am, and Eastern at the same time as Delta, American and Southwest? No.

TWA did not die during a pandemic or disaster. TWA died because Icahn smothered it to death.

But people? people need help. Wages have been stagnant for decades. Expenses havent been. A college education is almost unattainable. It is hard to get established in the middle class. In fact, the odds are good that everyone in the middle class is one disaster away from being in the poor house.

The reason college costs so much is because socialist government and leftist universities are scamming the American citizens.

There is a reason universities are so left leaning. There is a reason student debt is 1.6 TRILLION dollars. There is a reason it is beat into youths heads that they must go to college to be successful.

Part of the reason middle class is unobtainable for people is because they are stupid. They just go to college to go to college. They have no goal and no direction. Some spend a ton of money to get a worthless art history or gender studies degree. They are not taught how to look for a job or how to plan for a career. Another reason is when they do get a job most just settle instead of trying to move up to better paying positions. You see it all the time. You will have some fool at Walmart that has been there for 20 years still working as a cashier. They complain about the low pay but have not done a damn thing in 20 years to move up.

Honestly what kind of sense does it make to go to college for 4 years and bury yourself in student debt to get a low paying public teaching job?

I did not go to college. Instead I chose to go to tech school. I exceed the income of most people in this state with a master's degree. I found a way to get the money without going into massive debt. The school I went to also offers A&P. That is another alternative to make well over 100K without going into massive debt. My cousin did not go to school at all. He taught himself to weld and pulls 6 figures a year doing pipeline inspection. There are 3 examples of entry into middle class that require no degree and little monetary investment.

WRONG. If you work 40 hours a week at $7.25 an hour that comes out to $290 dollars. Below the $300 subsidy. Plus they get their regular unemployment. For a full time job (40 per week) at $7.25 an hour regular unemployment benefit in Oklahoma would be $163.91 per week. You are getting a total of $463.91 a week for a job that would normally only pay you $290 a week. You are getting a $173.91(37.49%) raise just to sit on your ass.

The majority of those suddenly unemployed will be forced to stay unemployed ( think house keeping) the rest will take a serious pay cut.

Nonsense. I got on Indeed the other day and found 4 jobs paying 20 an hour that required no degrees and no special training. There are TONS of jobs out there. What you said is an outright lie. I can sit there an find unskilled jobs paying $15 an hour all day long. They are a dime a dozen.

I’m not opposed to supporting them until we get our stuff together.

Great. I am against supporting people not to work when there are so many employers hiring right now. Of course I am given no choice. I just have to tolerate a thieving government pushing a socialist agenda helping themselves to my paycheck.

Just got notice that staring 1/2/2021, that the 'ORANGE BABOON' is gonna' send me $300. a week for 11 weeks, while I await my recall to my airport support job.

Hmm, doing the math, that's $300. 'snakes' a week x11 = $3,300, which will go into my 'stash' of $25 Grand so far, PLUS another $600.

Who the Christ would have ever thought that I stash $30 Grand, non taxable Do' Re' Mi' in a Fire proof safe, deep in the back yard. Pay taxable bank interest on this bread' ? NO F - W. You'd have to be smoking CRACK to think like that !!
