Chip, you are not an IAM member, you don't know the full extent of what is going on, we have had numerous meetings from the shop steward level to the GVP of transportation for the IAM in regards to this matter.

I know what we will do and how and when if neccesary.

Funny how the company is having a stroke over our new IAM buttons, and funny how your buddy Mr Glass' flight was delayed by 50 minutes.

Chip my suggestion to you is, leave our brothers and sisters at UAL alone, let me figure out what is gonna happen with their company without your meddiling.

And like I expected, you did not respond to any of the FACTS I posted.

I have to agree whole-heartedly with LavMan on this one Chip. It is impossible to have a rational discussion with you based on facts because you ignore most of the questions that are posed to you.

For future reference, your credibility suffers when all you do is spout old quotes and twist news articles to fit your agenda. The other day I said I was going to ignore your posts, but I made an exception hoping we could have a healthy debate on the issues. You let me down, Chip. Consider yourself back on ignore.

P.S. LavMan, if you are still with us, maybe you could set Chip straight on some of his "facts". You appear to be a voice of reason on the USAirways board, even if some don't like to hear what you have to say.
In case you haven't been following the drama on this board, Chip has made it his mission to tell UAL employees what a craphole UAL is, and how USAirways is going to take over a big chunk of their company. When I brought up the quote by CEO Siegel about U becoming a super-regional carrier on the east coast, Chip told me that Siegel was just misleading everyone. It seems like most of the U employees believe Siegel over Chip on this one. Can you please provide some insight?

Siegel would face legal ramifications from the SEC if he put misleading statements knowingly.

Chip has no credability on the USA board, he spouts the same doom and gloom about UAL on our boards too.

His track record speaks for itself, he wrote an op-ed piece for the Charlotte Observer that was full of inaccuracies.

He has been promoting the ICT or UCT, whichever one he chooses to call it for the day for almost a year.

US has no cash to purchase assests, it has $1.5 billion on hand that is inrestricted, all of our assests are collateral for the ATSB loan and other credit facitlites, when you pose that to him, he says Dr Bronner and the RSA will pay for it, well last time I looked the RSA is in the business of making money for its plan members, if he did purchase assests he would have to sell them to US, which does not have the money to purchase anything right now.

Chip is someone who lives in his own world in my opinion, the best thing to do is ignore him.

But LavMan. This very morne Chip stated that Mr. Siegel views him as a leader among the pilots. How could he be wrong when he is the annointed mouthpiece of the CEO? The very pilot that the CEO chooses to sit on his jumpseat. How can we, who do not dine on Olympus question what he says. :D :D
Cheers

UK, let me give you some facts

Chip is not a union leader or a leader among the pilots.

His own union banned him from their message board and after his op-ed piece in the charlotte observer which was full of wrong information his own union ALPA disavowed him and all things done by him, he was basically censured, they had to issue a press release stating his article was not condoned or endorsed by ALPA.

Don't worry Lav, please read most of what I write with the knowledge that it often has a tinge of gentle fun-poking to it. I have been following this debate for many a month now. Review again what I wrote and I think you will see that I was having a bit of fun with the oracle of CCY (whatever that stands for but he uses it often in his posts!). We brits are often not quite as direct as our American cousins and consider a good poke or two part of the discussion format. You may see this under my post entitled "Mr. Moderator."
Cheers

Novaqt - Thanks. I saw it in a number of his posts but did not know what it meant. If you are a United employee I can understand how difficult it must be to try your best every day and then have to face the glee with which Mr. Munn posts and highlights bad news.

I share this opinion whole-heartedly.

Since Chip likes to psycho-analyze the rest of us and call us emotional, uninformed, sophist, in denial, unfit to find work work outside our airline, etc. etc., Let me add some psycho-analysis myself.

Please keep in mind that the these are simply MY OPINIONS, lest someone censor me for not being politically correct. I also believe it is relevant to the discussion because it demonstrates why this board is dominated by never ending repetition of ICTs and UCTs, and doom and gloom for UA, and claims of superior insight by a certain individual.
