Is the offer going to be based on adding, subtracting, years, or percentages. What?
It will be presented tommarrow. No details until presented to the AT comte. We all need to keep this as professional and respectful for all involved. We don't need to hold nego out here in cyber land. However, if everyone wants to carry on with what their minimums are in percentiles or years, then be my guest. From what I do understand, the offer will be from the majority of the membership, nothing from company or any individual city or station. I still think this will get done outside of arbitration guys. Hopefully we will get more info after they meet tommarrow...

Voting NO on any amfa offer that does not have fences. OR at least a fence for X years.
I have no idea if the fences will be removed or stay. We do know the membership doesn't want them as do some on the AT side. A temp fence for x-amount of years, maybe that's an option, I don't know. Keep bringing the ideas. You never know, your ideas may get discussed. Seen it before...

So FADEFAULT from your post, correct me if I'm wrong but you will vote NO if there is a fence with a date stamp??

The large majority of the AT guys do not want fencing, neither did the original AT committee. The only fencing was brought into the negotiations by AMFA with the LOA of March 2011. With that said and not trying to to piss anyone off by the above--lets get rid of them and go with a fair % or yr. increase and move on. To protect the less senior guys on both sides a temp. fence might be to the best interest of both sides, but nothing more than 3-5 yrs at the most. Fences only divide. I believe the current AT committee present on Thursday will listen but have been instructed to only listen by Local pres. and bring back the info. to him. The committee has been neutered by Don Toney. But if it is fair and when the mech's fined out what was discussed and they will fined out, then Hitler be damned.Just give us something fair and lets get this over with fairly to all..

AT2001, We too want the fences gone. We do not want division amugst the ranks either. You are correct, the fencing came from AMFA's/company side. I think you will be pleasently surprised at the offer coming to you guys. The AMFA members are willing to move a great deal. And they will want some support from you guys to get the company on board with some other issues. In favor for all. Please be patient. We will get this done.

Are you stalking me you psycho?

Anyway
I am for a fence with an expiration date.
I'd rather let this go to arbitration than anything else.

Understandable. That's your minimum. But do you realy realize how long this could be by going to arbitration. Think very hard about your next vote, as this will in fact be the last nego between SWA and AT prior to arbitration. If we do in fact get another offer to vote on, it will be the last, then we will more than likely be off to arbitration.

swamt

Thanks, If it is fair then there are guys at AT who will push it and get this done, with or without the IBT and local help. They are playing politics.

I hope you're right. I'm counting on AMFA making a good offer today and moving on passed all the rubbish. Right now it seems like we are all fighting eachother, AMFA, IBT and SWA. Please keep us in the loop through out the day, if you can, so the AT guys can know as well. I honestly have no idea what the offer AMFA is making.

No one here (AT side) knows what amfa is going to propose but if it's something we can live with it and it's not to crazy (4-6 years increase) it will pass.
