Maybe they are still counting IBT paper ballots.
And are waiting to announce both sides results together.

You could be right I forgot they were still on paper. Key the jeopardy theme song Pat...

That's very possible.. The IBT and AMFA might have those huge lines of communication, that their known for, open again and be communicating as they go...1..NO..2..NO..3..YES?? Wait, verify membership status! lol

PRICELESS!!!

Forgot to ask, where will the announcement take place? Is SWA pulling in the media? If so, I could guess how the vote went. Rah-Rah time for SWA...

Results will be released from both the IBT and AMFA @ 230 pm EST

Oh, it's already been addressed above.. My RSS feed is slow on this phone when it's on 3G.

Just got word, Airtran Vote passed overwhelmingly, Over 80% (as expected)... Now just waiting on the AMFA vote..

Also, Take this as you will, they're supposedly organizing like it's a big announcement... That's probably why the 230 mark has passed and no word yet..

The Seniority Integration Referendum voting period ended this morning. There will be an official release later today, but the AMFA membership has turned the Company’s offer down. (as expected)

No disrespect intended to the At mechanics at all but I have never been more proud of the Swa mechanics solidarity. Sokol it's been real. Enjoy your pursuit of other interests. Now we can get down to business.

No disrespect taken, at least not from me. I'm glad to see that you guys had the organization to get the vote turned down.. Believe me, I tried to get voters to vote NO on the Airtran end, and a lot listened, or so I thought. Lets get the REAL integration done now!! Email's, Phone calls, make them now!! Tell your reps what you want! Lets get this done!!

Here's a statement out mid-afternoon from Jim Sokol, Southwest's vice president of maintenance operations:

"With the rejection of the seniority integration proposal, we understand that employees have different perspectives and opinions on this issue, but our goal continues to be the speedy resolution of seniority integration.
"Our vested interest remains focused on our employees, and we fully support a proposal that meets their needs without increasing complexity, creating division, or diminishing Southwest's culture."

Exactly what the company offer did.

Southwest said the next step is for the two unions to file for binding arbitration, in which an impartial arbiter would listen to both sides and decide a fair method to combine the seniority lists.

"The company's preference is that the two parties come to a resolution before arbitration begins, and it remains open to working with both unions to reach a solution that supports a comprehensive integration," Southwest said.

This is our preference also.

This is off topic and I know I'm not a full fledged SWA employee yet, but I have a vacation coming up and I need to rent a car. Where can I find the SWA discounts list on SWAlife? Or where could I find them period? Thanks in advance!
