Was searching AMFA National for results and read that the Horizon4AMFA mechanics were givin the ok from the NMB to press on with their vote for AMFA representation. Good luck guys. You can save 20% in dues every month and get better representation on top of that.

There you go again lowering the number, throw the 30 or 35% and let's re-vote. It's not rocket science...

Your right I did. I'll keep my 25-35%. That was a type-o. I have 30% on the brain cuz I'm pretty sure that's where it will all probably end up.

Heck, If we wanted 25% we could have had it months ago.

Rumor is that the next offer from AMFA in not % but a hard number in years.
You better start talking to the right people if you don't want that to happen.
Time is short to Feb 23.

I'm not saying it couldn't work. But I feel the percentile is more fair. I'm sure the AT guys do to.
I highly recomend the AT guys get on www.AMFA11.com and e-mail officers what they have stated here about the percentile. Not knowing what the yearly thing looks like can't really say if it would work or not. Any ideas of how they are working the numbers? As long as they do what the majority wants it should pass. The hard part is getting that majical number the majority wants. AMFA should be pushing the percentile. Guess we will find out...

I hate to admit but I agree, I think 30% is what will come out next and I admit I think it will pass.

On another note, to ALL who keep saying 'merger', this is NOT a merger, same rules don't apply! This is an ACQUISITION which means the purchasing company has control but in our case the purchasing company left all those responsible for making it happen out to dry! We're all peasants to them. Welcome to the 'family'!

I can't guarantee it but NO AMFA will not come back with hard number years, I DO believe they would and will come back with a percent. This is the way I think it should be, a percent not hard years, you lose less.

I've been emailing them for months now...Amfa11, Amfa32, Amfanational officers, not a single response... Almost feels like I was talking to the teamsters. I do know a national officer @ Amfa, thats where I get info from.. Haven't talked to the guy since we tried to implement Amfa @ Delta, all the sudden, he's been hearing from me once a week for the last 2 months!! lol

Great job. That is what it takes with AMFA. Membership involvement. Keep the E-mails flying they do help. Professional and courteous otherwise they just get deleted.
After todays announcement, if it is rejected, I'm sure they will get flooded with contacts.

Maybe they are still counting IBT paper ballots.

That's very possible.. The IBT and AMFA might have those huge lines of communication, that their known for, open again and be communicating as they go...1..NO..2..NO..3..YES?? Wait, verify membership status! lol
