What I don't understand is why has\is the AMFA committee saying it is a SWA (company) agreement? The company was there but the committees (both) were also there. The company, as I understand it, was acting as a mediator after countless attacks from AMFA to AT when proposals were made. The typical response from AMFA was "WE (the mechanics at SWA) did not want this buy out,we didn't want any of AT employes,we want nothing to do to with them and we ,as a committee will do anything to make sure it never happens and that we will do anything to make sure it does not pass.
I am not saying this to make anyone mad. Just ask your committee members or the company members who where their. If this is truly the feeling of the mechanics,we are all in trouble. Sadly, it was the sentiment of the AMFA committee.
It appears to me, they agreed to the agreement but now refuse to stand up for what they agreed to(TA'ing the agreement). This may speak a great deal towards the character of the AMFA committee,I hope I am wrong, but actions speak more than mere words.
I hope we vote this in, if not,a Arbitrator will decide all of our fates and not ourselves. No one will be happy with his/her decision, especially SWA mechanics, because you are really getting a sweet deal.
Again, I am not trying to pick a fight, I simple want to know why this type attitude was taken and try and figure out if this is the true feelings of SWA mechanics.
