I am one of the authors of this language and I actually have a very clear understanding of its intent. It was very much the intent that the Mx Controllers have no bidding rights as a Mechanic or Mechanic as a Mx Controller. The Company and AMFA could not agree on what the requirements for bidding a Mx Controller position should be and decided to table that issue until Sec. 6. If it seems ambiguos, sorry. Still hope you didn't vote no because you misunderstood.

I did vote no because of the 1 way bid. I felt it wasnt fair. If I am wrong then the LOA should have addressed it. I will always vote no on any LOA when people like you say - vote this in and we'll iron out the details later

Get a clue man. I have been posting that we will get back to the table for awhile now. We all know it's not garrenteed, but there is in fact a meeting set for 2-23-12 with all 3 party's.

They did that as part of the NW/DL merger. Everyone (all work groups) got new numbers, and they weren't in any kind of sequential order.

Thats good, if both sides can walk away with a deal and feel good about it that is all that can be hoped for.

From our end of the rumor mil, SWA said they were going to give AT old, no longer used, employees numbers non sequential order and at random.. I.E. a 2 yr AT mech may get a number that's close to a 10 yr SWA mech thats unused, and a 10 yr AT mech may get a number closest to a 5 yr SWA mech, that's no longer in use. It sounds like a good idea I think. Valujet and original AT emoloyee #'s differ in such a way that it makes it obvious who's who, but it doesn't matter, if this passes, you guys will have an RSD date and AT won't. So it really won't make that much of a difference....

Why do you think SWA is changing everything to AirTran's way?? Because I can assure you, as far as paperwork and manuals are concerned, Airtran mechs are adopting an entirety new method!!

We read in ATL there's a new attendance policy. Is this something you voted in, or did the company just make one up and slide it in like ours tries to do.

AT03-- they just made that #### up and are sliding it in and saying we don't have a sick/attendance policy so they can just put it in our mpm and make it a policy we need to follow. Btw we are fighting it.

Why are we wasting time fighting Something Ridiculous as this? AMFA agrees with sick time abuse (taking sick time when you are not sick)? Sickcations!
whatever you want to call it. Like Gary said. We need to be professionals and show up for work when scheduled. We really need to get rid all of those worthless folks with that mentality
