IAM Withdraws NMB Election Application

if the union supporters here would actually deliver what they say they can do instead of nitpick at what other people say, they might actually find interest in employees for their services.

let's not forget the title of this thread as much as they would like to.

and once again, the two people here who can't read English would do well to follow along very closely to DL's negotiations with DL's pilots because the chances are very high that they will get a hefty pay raise.

If they do, it is very certain that DL's non-contract employees will get hefty pay raises as well.

If that happens, then any pay raise DL employees get that is above what they got in pay raises and/or combined pay and profit sharing increases will make my statement true.

as always, I will be here to verify who was actually right.

I'm betting on hefty compensation increases for DL employees - which AA will have to match for those employees who have "us too" clauses in their contracts based on DL and UA pay. Since AA doesn't match on DL's profit sharing, Anderson apparently wants to raise DL employee base rates and reduce the massive profit sharing in order to force up AA employee pay levels (and AA costs)

How about you let the employees who are actually governed by them speak to what is in them?

and it is precisely because labor unions and their minions like you dismiss profit sharing as being stable that DL wants to convert a chunk of the profit sharing - again now exceeding 15% of salary - into base wages.

By doing so, it forces other carriers including WN that don't necessarily have "us too" clauses but whose employees are watching their pay relative to the industry be reduced as DL employees are seeing such massive increases in compensation every year.

Further, let's remember that DL, not the IAM or any union is setting the pace for compensation increases in the industry. When DL employees are watching their pay be increased as much as it is and no union is able to come anywhere close to what DL is doing for any of its employees, the unions are irrelevant.

and in the meantime, the IAM is sitting on the sidelines waiting for the clock to reset so they can try again.

6 years into the merger, it's still lather-rinse-repeat. and the percentage of non-union employees at DL doesn't change.

True, but the "we get what the pilots get" myth has been around so long and told so often, that many people now think its an actual thing...
given that DL non-contract and pilot personnel get the same amount of profit sharing and ps has been the largest source of compensation increase for all DL employees, there is proof that it still exists.

I'm all for you and your coworkers getting the biggest increases in compensation possible and far in excess of what unions are delivering elsewhere.

DL can clearly afford it; it weakens the union resolve and also forces DL's competitors either thru contract language or by sheer comparison to increase their costs in order to match what DL is giving its employees

it is nothing but good news for DL employees to be the center of mgmt.'s attempts to force pay comparisons between other airline employees and DL employees.

.
Take your own advice you been gone over eight years.

The pilots NEGOTIATED a 33% cut in profit sharing for a 20% raise in a 2 1/2 year period.

Who negotiated the cut for non-union personnel?

Why did non-union employees only get a 2% to 4% raise each year for the same time period while pilots got 20%?

Dont let the facts get in your way.

The pilots negotiated, DL imposed on non-union employees.

the only one who can't tell the truth is you... you keep repeating "you have been gone for 8 years" even though it is as wrong as it was the day you said it. but hey, keep saying it because eventually it will come true.

No, the pilots negotiated a reduction in the profit sharing percentage which resulted in increased profit sharing.

if there is a further reduction in the PERCENTAGE reduction of profit sharing it will be accompanied by an INCREASE in total compensation. ALL DL employees that are eligible for profit sharing receive an equal percentage of their salary in profit sharing.

The pilots AND the non-contract personnel would go ballistic - as they should - if the company reduces their overall pay and profit sharing right now.

You can keep spreading your half truths since that is all you have to work with but DL employees WILL see increased pay and reduction that is far beyond what is being given at any other airline, union or not.

how about the entire upper mgmt. level all the way up to the CEO takes huge  pay cuts  just the way the rank and file has done

no, robbed, your statement is patently false.

DL employees have seen larger pay raises since emerging from BK than employees of any other airline.

DL employees are now the 2nd most highly compensated airline employees in the US behind WN employees and DL employees are growing their rates of compensation far faster than WN employees, most of whom are stuck with CBAs that haven't seen pay raises for several years and the company won't amend them.

your class envy is tiresome - because it isn't even based on facts.

Looks like Spectator is back, guess someone doesnt want to hit the negative 10,000 mark.

looks like you can't accept that there might be people who actually agree with me and not what you have to say.

The IAM withdrew its application because there simply was not enough support to petition for an election. Plain and simple.

the more DL employee compensation increases outpace what ANY union gets elsewhere, the harder the case is for ANY union to gain at DL.

I am all about seeing DL employees get bigger paychecks - whether it comes thru profit sharing or base compensation.

If unions can deliver it then that is the route DL employees should take.

but the clear evidence is that unions have not delivered that for DL employees while DL mgmt. has been increasing the pay of ALL of their workgroups = union or not - faster than at any other US airline.

They withdrew after a heads up from the NMB in regards to fraudulent cards which anti-union DL FAs sent in, everything is documented and sent to the DOJ.

Keep up the lies and misinformation.

New cards are coming by the droves.

Seems ALPA has delivered to DL pilots.

FACT: the IAM couldn't get enough valid cards for an election.
The bar has been set even higher with the additional 1500 f/a's.
(even more hirings this fall)
it was unlikely they could get in "legally" before, now highly UNLIKELY.
Despite what some believe, the IAM has egg on their face as far a F/A's are
concerned.  Many are embarrassed to even wear their pins and have their bags
tags.  Maybe a few die hards, but not many.  The IAM will not be recovering anytime
soon as far as Delta F/A's are concerned.
Most Delta F/A's  recognized the rudderless sinking ship they have become.  Just a few here
who continue to have delusions of grandeur.

It would seem that the first question is "where is the evidence that shows who was involved and how?" It is the same question that you want to ask regarding Kip so it would seem that fairness should apply all around, no?

and if DL employees did sabotage COMPANY systems, then they should be punished, including using other employees' employee numbers.

but it is not DL's responsibility to punish its employees for messing with the card drive. However, the NMB and DOJ might well do that and if they do then DL does have the choice of punishing employees who have violated federal laws. Prosecution of cases involving card fraud will be done by the DOJ.

Quite frankly, I would far rather have DL breathing down my neck than the DOJ so I wouldn't consider a lack of action on the company's part as any great reward.
