doesnt IAM have a chat board?
What difference does it make if they do or don't fliboi?

If the discussion is not to your liking? , Go read something else and mind your own business.

This thread is about the PIT IAM Elections...and various views are going to come from it. So since you have no involvement with either PIT or the IAM as a whole , how does your .02 and smart replies amount to anything in this topic?

I agree with Pitguy, just before the vote, management did in and in fact harassed us, (and as far as i was concerned) gave us an ultimatum.
When we asked,Where was our leadership, no one could be found.
That alone, proved to most of us where our leadership stood on the vote. And now they just walk all over us. They show no fear, something we somehow, gave up in our Last Give Back.
Funny, somehow i don"t remember that being part of the package.

Well again, f you read the title of the thread you would know the subject matter....then you would have a choice to read it , participate or leave it alone.

You think the IAM is not an important part of the company? If so?....try flying tomorrow without it , you won't be getting very far. :p

USfliboi,

Yea, you're on it! :D
lol i mean its like you cant even say the sky is blu with out some ummmm saying no its not the iam says we cant call it blue untill we say so and we aint saying so till we are ready naaaaaa! I mean come on . The world doesnt revolve there and soon may not revolve at all if we become an all airbus fleet :)

USFliboi,

C'mon now. Why get into a pissing match with these guys. You know it as well as the rest of the aviation world and the public that there are two critical elements in the "safety arena" and they are those who fix the planes and those who fly them.

If these two elements and skilled folks are not present....there is no airline!

The rest that center around these two elements only augment the safety piece of the business. Kapeesh, friend?

The next time your plane is broke, go ask Lowell from wings to fix it. These IAM members take pride in our work and put our passengers and coworkers safety first, unlike the chop shop in BFM, who's lack of quality has shown on the first two airbii who had several emergency landings.

Think of that next time you fly, if you even do fly, as we all know you have been caught in some untruths.

i have no probs with the legitmate iam members .. mainly the ones not on here bustin heads you know.... actin all crazy. Met some great great IAM memebers the type who dont do intentional slow downs, the type that doesnt lose their tools the type who refuse to mel certain things , you "the by the bookers" just to despite. Yup you rt their are some really great ones Ill agree

fliboi, Some day, when U are flying express, look out of the window, and take a look, and see if you can even speak the language that the mechanics that just signed off the log book can speak!!!!!

I hate to get off the subject...but usfliboy I hate to burst your bubble but if you had any clue of things you pretend to know about.....I worked the line for many years and it was never up to me to "refuse" to MEL an item. Hate to tell you but those decisions usually come from a little place called MOC!!!! Mechanic's are advised to MEL whenever possible for smooth operations. Its not THEIR decision to set an ETR to fix something!!!!!

BTW this is a posting with reference to the IAM so why are you wasting your time viewing? Why don't you start you own posting on "why I love Dave and Co and am willing to work for free" In other words mind your own business.......

Ask the guys in the weld and machine shop how much help they received from Frank, NONE, because they are on the streets. You see Frank feels the weld and machine shop guys are not worthy the same glorified place an A&P mechanic holds.
let me see here...those guys from weld and machine are on the street because they didn't get their airframe and powerplant license now did they.....
they must have gotten bumped by someone exorcising their seniority.....
must have gotten bumped by someone senior with an A&P LICENSE...
this is interesting.....i'd figure someone with some compassion would go to overhaul instead of putting their brethren on the street.....
i see lots of A&P'S in weld/machine these days.....damned shame those heartless bastards..... <_<

The retirees vote in the PIT local and they want to keep Frank.lets check the voter turn out to show you how many vote
In PIT you can file a grievance and never ever get an answer on it back. Really.........I mean never.there is a log on the wall in the hangar 3/4 union ofice where all grievances are filed...you can go look for yourself....i'd bet you've never been there...
The supervisors move parts and no grievances are even filed anymore.supervisors do these things because people like you don't want to make any waves
People will not be shop stewards because they get no backing from the local union President's office.no you are wrong...people don't do it because they don't want to get involved.
During the last rounds of concessions the company's management herded members up and made them listen to why they would be in trouble and how they could be fired if they did not vote for the concessionsi dare you to prove this
Frank and the Director of Maintenance are good friends. this is making good copy now...frank and i were just up his cottage and had lobster and caviar
Which is not a crime in itself, but has led to numerous issues including the reason why people are not allowed to go vote on their breaks it may have been done for decades, but for some strange reason this failing company expects you to work for eight hours...or weren't you aware of that?

(Remember the majority of the still employed do not support Frank). i guess we'll just have wait and see then my friend.
Another surprise for you would be to see the amount of his W-2 for the last few years.you are making blind assertations here....show your cards..what did he make?
