Iam Local Lodge 1976 Elections(pittsburgh)

Cavalier, are you my dad? No I don't think so, so don't tell me what to do! And the last time I checked, you don't own the board so don't tell me what I can and can't post.

Frank is a District Officer and represents EVERY mechanic and related in the US system, if I want to give my opinion, I will.

Like I said, Frank is the better man for the job, don't like it, don't read it!

don't bet your bottom dollar there sonnyboy.....
company demanded all those grievances be dropped...and yes the majority voted,twice...after the ones who voted no messed themselves with the results and cried to dave .
i have no problem with hayes...i think hes better cut for grievance committee...and like in boxing, never lead with your head
Bill Hays is more like the AFA president in Pit and what’s needed to deal with this management team. Frank is passive and this management teams eats them for lunch. This is why Bill has my vote.
but of course you can back these statements up?
prove it.........

This is NOT a time for a change in leadership!!
I remember it well as I sat at my desk in the instrument shop in Pit: Frank coming around and saying exactly what you are saying…â€￾now is not the time to change leadershipâ€￾. At the time Frank was trying to secure new hangers for the bus work. Gee, what happened? Do I have make a list of the failures, the plunders, the sad performances, and the broken promise? It was and is so bad we almost saw AMFA on the property because guys are so fed up with the status quo. Go ahead and vote whom you think is best, but only a fool will disregard the recent past and look beyond all the failures and blunders. Ask the guys in the weld and machine shop how much help they received from Frank, NONE, because they are on the streets. You see Frank feels the weld and machine shop guys are not worthy the same glorified place an A&P mechanic holds. Go ask anyone in the hangers how they feel about Frank. Franks doesn’t even have the courage to make a showing in the hangers for fear of being shunned or worse. So all you Frank yes men go ahead and be his cheerleaders, you are the only ones who seem to think has earned another shot at the title. This title went to his head and it means more to him then his membership does. All he is doing is making it easier for this management team with the divided work force we have due to his actions. I am not going to go back and forth on here because in a few short days we will all see the outcome, for better or for worse.

 Frank is a V.P. at large, in the international. What ever the hell that is. Check the 141M web site. When he is voted out this week, he will just move to the international. Poor boy will have to make due with just one paycheck each week, and not 2.

Frank is not at the International, he is VP at large for District 141M, and to you Cav, the last time I checked, NO ONE in the UNION can tell the company that they can't abolish jobs, or make them staff to certain numbers, but I guess you don't care to learn or realize that.

You have big mouth period but especially when you didn't live it, which I did. You rely on what dude tells you which is not gospel, so I will ignore you snide remarks from this point on.

700UW,

While I normally agree with your postings I must take exception to this. Let me share with you my views. The majority of working members in PIT want new leadership. The retirees vote in the PIT local and they want to keep Frank. In PIT you can file a grievance and never ever get an answer on it back. Really.........I mean never. The company runs full bore over the contract. The supervisors move parts and no grievances are even filed anymore. There is never a stand made about anything. People will not be shop stewards because they get no backing from the local union President's office. During the last rounds of concessions the company's management herded members up and made them listen to why they would be in trouble and how they could be fired if they did not vote for the concessions (Utility was harassed even worse). Meanwhile Frank was no where around. Frank and the Director of Maintenance are good friends. Which is not a crime in itself, but has led to numerous issues including the reason why people are not allowed to go vote on their breaks like they did for decades (Remember the majority of the still employed do not support Frank). Another surprise for you would be to see the amount of his W-2 for the last few years. I think if you saw it you would understand why this happens. I say for everyone to go out and vote and let the best guy win, but it will be a shame if the retirees select a guy that everyone left working feels does not represent them. I feel the man's legacy will be that he left terrible working conditions for the members in exchange for his personal greed.

What is a matter? Did I touch a nerve? Plain and simple fact, show me where in the IAM Mechanic and Related contract where the union can tell the company how many people to staff and where is says the company can't layoff workers or abolish jobs?

See you have to resort to attacks because you know the facts support my positon and not yours.

Eagerly waiting your reply, please show me the article, paragraph and page # where it says the union sets the staffing levels.

You missed my entire point and are completely out of context here. I never implied, inferred or otherwise said the company can’t do these things. My point was the way it was handled. I lived it, I grieved it. Frank looked down upon us lowly mechanics trying to explain to us why we didn’t have a leg to stand on and why we must submit and then on top of it take additional concessions. Like I said I lived it, you didn’t and have no clue what went down first hand like I do along with the mechanics it affected, yet you spout off when you should just keep quiet and let the Pit mechanics do what they and they alone feel is right. I don’t come down to CLT and tell you or anyone else who to vote for and where you are wrong on issues. We are supposed to be on the same side of the fence, so don’t push me when you’re off base and should just keep your nose to yourself.
